The Marcia Brady to her sister Nebula’s Jan Brady, the daughter of the evil Thanos is another in a line of Marvel’s badass females! The former assassin proved her worth and her inherent heroism fighting alongside Johnny Karate….I mean Star-Lord and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy!

14: Alexander Pierce

Appearances: Captain America: The Winter Solider

Okay, can we talk about the fact that Marvel Studios got ROBERT REDFORD in a comic book movie? We live in amazing times true believers. The fact that his final words were, “Hail Hydra” was only the icing on the cake.

13: Sif

Appearances: Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Agents of SHIELD (TV show)

Note to the powers that be over at Warner Brothers/DC: Jaimie Alexander is who you should have cast to play Wonder Woman, not that skinny model you went with. I mean for all intents and purposes, she practically auditioned for the role while playing Sif! Tall, powerful, ass-kicker, looks good in armor and wielding a sword? Yeah, who could imagine her playing Diana? Is there any wonder why this is Marvel Week and not DC Week?

12: Groot

Appearances: Guardians of the Galaxy

Okay, we ALL love Groot! It was amazing how a giant tree that only says three words can be a hundred times more empathetic and real than Kristen Stewart is. The only downside of Groot is the fact that Marvel didn’t have these babies for sale immediately after Guardians of the Galaxy came out!

11: The Red Skull

Appearances: Captain America: The First Avenger

If not for the existence of a certain charismatic Asgardian trickster, one could argue that the Red Skull is the best Marvel villain to date. The Nazi monster was both terrifying and purely, irredeemably evil, the polar opposite and perfect nemesis for the virtuous Captain America.
