The WERRRK.com 2017 Drag Awards Nominees

Welcome to the WERRRK.com 2017 Drag Awards, recognizing the best in drag, entertainment, fashion and LGBTQ achievement this year! The nominating stage is starting now, where your vote will decide the winners! All of the nominees will be recognized on this page and of the voting polls will be as well so bookmark this page and remember to vote for all your favorites every day from now through the new year! As always, you will be able to vote once every 24 hours in each category so don’t let your favorite queens, artists, songs, movies and moments go unrecognized. Also as always, it is very hard to narrow these lists down to just a handful of nominees so we do our research, we talk to people and we come up with our list of nominees for the year and do our best not to slight people. We have finally reached the end of the WERRRK.com 2017 DRAG AWARDS nominations and that means it is time to announce the nominees for our biggest award of the year, the WERRRK.com Drag Queen the Year award, recognizing the performer who had the biggest and best 2017! Who will follow Biblegirl 666 as the WERRRK.com DRAG QUEEN OF THE YEAR? The Drag Horizon Award is given to an exceptional queen within the drag community, one who has established herself in her hometown that hasn’t quite hit the national stage just yet but we are projecting that they will be bursting forth onto it very soon! Who will follow Discord Addams as the WERRRK.com DRAG HORIZON award winner? Last was the debut of our Mr. Los Angeles Award which recognized the best and beefcakiest (Is beefcakiest a word?) in male entertainment that the City of Angels had to offer. It was such a success that we decided we should recognize the men of the Big Apple as well this year! Who will follow Tyler Booth as the WERRRK.com MR. LOS ANGELES award winner and who will be named the first ever MR. NEW YORK? The choice is up to you! THE WENDY HO AWARD:

We are very excited to announce that our former BioQueen of the Year Award going forward will now be known as the WENDY HO AWARD (with Wendy’s blessing of course!). In addition to honoring Wendy’s trailblazing career, this award will continue celebrate the achievements of both female and non binary individuals in the world of drag. In first two years of this award, we celebrated the spread of marriage equality throughout the country until it finally became the law of the land. Last year we mourned the victims of the Pulse Nightclub massacre. This year we celebrating progress, bravery and a commitment to justice. The choice for WERRRK.com’s 2017 LGBTQ MOMENT OF THE YEAR is up to you! As the two OG’s of our “Queen of” awards,  the QUEEN OF NEW YORK and the QUEEN OF LOS ANGELES are two of the hardest awards to nominate each year given the preponderance of talent on each coast. That being said, we’re going to see who will succeed Diana Dzhaketov as the 2017 QUEEN OF LOS ANGELES! Remember you can vote once every 24 hours for your favorite City of Angels queen between now and the new year. Last we added QUEEN OF CHICAGO, QUEEN OF THE UK and QUEEN OF THE GREAT WHITE NORTH to our awards and this year we’re going to see who will be voted WERRRK.com’s first ever QUEEN OF AUSTRALIA! Remember you can vote once every 24 hours between now and the new year. (Editor’s Note: As always with the “Queen of” awards, queens who have been on RuPaul’s Drag Race or that we have on pretty good authority will be on the coming season of the show are not eligible.
