Alaska Thunderfuck: Inarguably one of the most popular drag queens in the world, Alaska certainly appeared to be the favorite to win heading into RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2 and while it may have been a bumpy road at time, she did indeed manage to rise above the talented field and snatch the crown while still managing to find the time to tour all over and to release her hit album “Poundcake”. We’d like to see any other 🐍 accomplish that!

 

Biblegirl666: The one time controversial social media queen has grown up and become quite the visionary business woman. Her DragQueenMerch site has been a game changer for drag queens every, enabling them to reach their fans and sell their gear on a level never before seen in the business. Next up on her docket, a drag queen video game app. After that, we’re assuming world domination and maybe a run at the White House in 2020.

Bob the Drag Queen: So in case you missed it, Bob won a little show called RuPaul’s Drag Race. You might have heard if it. In addition to that decisive victory, Bob toured the globe, released her hit song “Purse First”, raised money through her “Charity 4 the People” endeavor and even found time to take one of her youngest fans trick or treating. Yeah, it was a good year to be Bob the Drag Queen!

 

Mimi ImFurst: Mimi has reinvented herself as one of the main hubs of Philadelphia’s resurgent drag scene. In addition to releasing her wonderful album “The Fire” this year, Mimi also crowned the winner of the prestigious Miss’D America pageant in Atlantic City and was the driving force behind the Philly Drag Awards! Now the question is, what can she do for an encore?

 

Phi Phi O’Hara: Despite being bullied online by an abusive segment of the drag fan base, Phi Phi O’Hara emerged triumphant in 2016 with a memorable appearance on Drag Race All Stars, a popular new album released as her boy self and perhaps most impressive was her ambitious 365 Days of Drag project where she showered us with look after look, showing off her considerable talents to the world. And she even got engaged! Not a bad year at all.
