The Dudleyz vs The Usos – Honestly….wow….does it even matter at this point? How many times can we see this match before there’s no point? Answer: two matches ago. I feel the Usos will win this simply to start things on a light note.

20160315_WM32-keyart_MATCH_NewDay_LON_1920x1080--716572d60de9dac6f4d7d0b626de49e9

New Day vs The League of Nations for the World Tag Team Championship – So I want New Day to win but my fear is they will want to keep the League of Nations looking strong. The League of Nations is made of four guys that should be in much better spots (Wade Barrett being the stand out amongst them). I say League of Nations wins this. Regardless of outcome I want to hear, the next night on Raw, “MY NAME IS ENZO AMORE….how you doin?”

The Andre the Giant Battle Royal – I want to see Mark Henry win this especially with his imminent retirement. This would be an extremely fitting exit for him. So I’m gonna say Henry because wrestling always makes me an optimist.

Charlotte vs Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks –Okay, I’m really looking forward to this. At first I wanted this to be just Charlotte vs Sasha but the more I think about it, this makes sense and is a great way to close out the first chapter of these women’s careers as they came in together and now are facing off, I hope that’s the story they tell in the match.. I want to, and think we will, see Sasha Banks win the Divas Championship here. I really want this match to deliver because I truly think this can be the show stealer if they are given the time to tell their story.

AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho – Honestly, this match shouldn’t be here even though it belongs. This will be their fourth match and there is no story going in at this point. Will the match be great? Most likely, these two are veterans who rarely have bad matches. This match does belong on the card but if they wanted this match here, they shouldn’t have given it away three times prior. I say Styles wins and hopefully goes on to a feud that really matters.

20160307_WM32-keyart_MATCH_KalistoRyback_1920x1080--983d76314f9262b3c351e91fbcefe253

7 Man Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship & Kallisto vs Ryback for the United States Championship – I put these two together because they shoulda been swapped. WWE had a built in story and should have had Owens vs Zayn, one on one for the belt and they shoulda gone with it (or Owens vs Styles based on the actions at the Rumble). Considering Kalisto is an aerial performer, his title shoulda been in a multi man match involving a ladder. I am happy Kalisto is the US Champion but I feel Ryback is the wrong opponent as it doesn’t make any sense. I feel Kalisto vs Jericho coulda been really cool, but WWE still believes in Ryback so here we are with this match which is really a match we’ll get again the following night on Raw…where it belongs.

I believe we see Kallisto beat Ryback and continue the David vs Goliath story they like to do with smaller luchadores.

In the end I say we have Zayn win the Intercontinental title and go on to feud with Owens into the summer.

Brock Lesnar vs Dean Ambrose – This has every opportunity to be the highlight of this show. I believe there is so many directions they can go and I hope that, while their styles differ, they find a way to mesh together well to put on a great match. I say Dean Ambrose goes over here to shock the world.

20160222_WM32-keyart_MATCH_TripleH_NEW_1920x1080--a560ae3f21fb9b2ac8c3e3d41df33ca3

Triple H vs Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Oof. Okay so here’s the thing, Roman Reigns has done nothing wrong. In fact, he wasn’t nearly as good as he is now when people cheered him, but then WWE puts him over Daniel Bryan and now, no matter how much Roman has improved, the damage is done. WWE was right in not putting Bryan in Mania 31’s main event, since the same situation that sidelined him the year before happened again. However the fans don’t want to be told who to cheer any more, which is right, so he’s booed despite improving. Roman needs the win here, but this does not need to be the main event but rather spill over into the next match to close the show out, even if it’s a crash landing.

Shane McMahon vs The Undertaker – This match is obviously here because Sting and Cena got injured. I feel they are gonna pull out all the smoke and mirrors to hide the obvious faults that come with a match featuring someone who was always a part time wrestler when he was last in the company and hasn’t been in the ring/business in over a decade vs a part time wrestler that is over 50. In the end I feel Taker wins because Reigns comes in and screws over Shane turning heel in the process. No one will boo Taker so Reigns attacks him too. If they put Shane over Taker, I hope the fans riot. I truly do.

Overall thoughts on the show: Every match on this should could be excellent, however, there is very little thought to logic or story leading up to it. I know this year has been at a disadvantage because Wrestlemania mainstays like Cena and Orton are out as well as Rollins. However there are tons of ways to have built to creative and cool stories leading in to the biggest wrestling shows. Storylines that were already set up and could have gotten new blood over in the eyes of the fans. Wrestling is a fantastic business unlike any other because it crafts it’s own reality in a way nothing else can. I feel this show will look great, but smoke and mirrors are last resorts when you have no other option then to hide flaws. This wasn’t a show where that was needed, but WWE chose to hide instead of try, I can only hope we get some cool wow moments but I wish we could get wow moments we wanted to see as opposed to the ones we’d be okay settling for.
