About twenty-three out of the twenty-four hours in a day, Spencer is rambling on about Cyndi Lauper and blasting her music for the whole world to hear! So what better way to celebrate the winner of Spencer’s Top 80’s Artist Countdown by breaking down the top five songs of Cyndi’s career! Lets do it!

#1 When You Were Mine
It is finally here! The finale of “Spencer Just Wants To Have Fun”! We are kicking off the finale with Spencer’s all time favorite song and all time favorite Cyndi Lauper song, “When You Were Mine!”.
The song was originally written by Prince, which is pretty freaking awesome. But once Cyndi heard it, she realized she had to do a cover of it. In my opinion, it is obviously better! Cyndi Lauper performed this song at the 1985 American Music Awards. This performance shows off Cyndi’s pure talent as an artist.

There you have it! We bopped around listening to “She Bop”. We danced around to “Witness”. We rambled on and on about the Goonies and “Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough”. We brought out the box of tissues with “Echo” and finally we raged to Cyndi’s version of “When You Were Mine”. It has been a pleasure rambling on about Cyndi Lauper. Until next time!
