OMG it’s the SECOND installment in my four-part series Sister Indica RECOMMENDS HER FRIENDS! Can you believe it? Of course you can. Last time I introduced you to the moon baby and her awesome new track “Bae Sick”. This time, I’m here to tell you all about my pals Animal Cloud, who recently released a video for their song “Taller Grass” off their new EP: “WE LIKE YOU”. You just have to see it!
If you know me well, you know I love nothing more than going to see a live show. I’ve seen the band Phish close to 40 times and the only other band I’ve seen again and again (and again) is Animal Cloud. I’ve watched them grow, create new work and it’s always exciting when Keith (the drummer and driving force behind the band) sends me a demo for a new song. I’m in the inner circle, bitch!
The band is currently a trio – Keith Tenenbaum on drums/keyboards, Chris Magnee on bass and Trevor Lissauer on vocals/keyboards and guitars. If some of these names are familiar to you it’s probably because you know Keith and Trevor’s previous band The Glass Plastiks but you may also recognize Trevor from his role as Miles Goodman on Sabrina, The Teenage Witch.
Now for the really fun part: the video for “Taller Grass”! They’ve got lasers for God’s sake. If you’re into M83, MGMT and Empire of the Sun, you’ll get into their vibe for sure.
