Without makeup, most drag queens would look positively mannish. My five nominees run the gamut from a small local business to a makeup giant but they all have brought something unique to the world of drag with their makeup lines and for that, we should all be grateful! So without further adieu, I am very proud to present the nominees for the NS4W 2014 Drag Makeup Company of the Year!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics: As if their lip tars weren’t enough, their pencils and brushes are top notch and they have the good taste to use the amazing Deven Green in their advertising!
Sugarpill: Amazingly rich eyeshadows, great brushes, fabulous eyelashes (I love CatEye!), Sugarpill was a no-brainer for this list. Plus Amy is probably the most colorful owner of any company anywhere!
MAC: As long as they keep making Viva Glam I lipstick, they stay on this list.
Atomic Cosmetics: Battling back from the brink of extinction all the while glamorizing the Seattle drag scene, with the most non-toxic makeup line there is? Yeah, that gets you a spot on our list for sure.
NYX: The perfect line for a queen on a budget! Inexpensive and yet effective! Plus if you’re out of town and forgot something, their products make for a great fill-in!
