Los Angeles and New York. New York and Los Angeles. They’re the cities with more drag queens per square mile than other! Drag is blossoming like never before on both coasts with more and more incredibly creative, gorgeous and talented queens showing up on the scene all the time. This award is to honor the drag queen in the Big Apple that made the biggest impact on the year 2014 so without further adieu, we present the nominees for the NS4W 2014 Queen of New York City Award (sponsored by NYC Stilts)

*Editor’s Note: We have made an executive decision to not include any former or current RuPaul’s Drag Race Queens on this list. Not to diminish the talents of queens like Phi Phi O’Hara, Ivy Winters or others because lord knows we love us some Drag Racers but we wanted to shine a spotlight on some of the talented young queens that have yet to gain that sort of national exposure.

I also need to add that on a personal level that this list was literally impossible to narrow down to ten queens. I got into the thirties listing worthy queens before I had to stop or run the risk of a nervous breakdown. There are going to be incredibly worthy queens left off this list. There is probably going to be some personal bias although I’ve done my best to minimize it. There is no shade aimed at one who didn’t make this list….well, except for that one bitch! You know who you are! *wink*
