Our Senior Key West Correspondent, Faith Michaels, has been hard at work in the studios preparing her new album, “The Pop Album”! Today, “Crooked” featuring Power Infiniti and former Drag Race star Nina Flowers, the first song from the album is being released and I got to talk about it all with my gurl for a bit last night!

“This album is really different from past work I’ve done. It took about a year to put together. I even turned to friends asking for advice and what songs they liked and didn’t like, gays, straights, lesbians, ages from twenties up to sixty five years old. This album will give you a little bit of everything: bitchy wit, sensuality, comedy and inspiration. Each one of these songs represent those qualities. My first release “Crooked” (Out today! Go buy it on iTunes here!) is about those shady queens who think they’re better than everyone else when in reality, they don’t have a heel to stand on!
Nina, Power and myself have all been wanting to do work together musically. Originally I was going to do a song with Power and another song with Nina. Power came down to Key West to visit me and we started planning our project together and before long we hit on the idea, why don’t we do it with Nina too? We all know each other and we’ve been planning on working on a project with each other so why not do it all together. I got in touch with Michael Cosculluela and asked if he could do a song for us (He actually wrote all the songs for the album!). He was on board with the idea right away and said I’ve already got a song for you to listen to! That’s where “Crooked” came from. I’m really excited about this song and the entire album! I hope everyone out there enjoys listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it!
