If you missed numbers 25-21, check them out here!
20: War Machine
Appearances: Iron Man , Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron
Tony Stark’s best buddy is pretty cool whether he’s Terrence Howard or Don Cheadle. He’s like Iron Man, only wrapped in aluminum foil and with less charisma. But he has some cool weapons that blew crap up in Iron Man 2! That has to count for something, right guys? Guys?
19: Arnim Zola
Appearances: Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Solider
Okay, there is no way that Arnim Zola should have translated from comic books to the big screen but Toby Jones absolutely makes the creepy Nazi-scientist turned living computer into three dimensional character. Oh, and he helped destroy SHIELD. Not bad for a glorified Commodore 64!
18: Hawkeye
Appearances: Thor, The Avengers, The Avengers: Age of Ultron
In my opinion, for the little they’ve done with Hawkeye, Marvel Studios could have saved a few bucks and cast a lesser light actor in the role than Jeremy Renner. Admittedly he spent a good chunk of the Avengers under Loki’s spell but we have yet to see any of his rebellious and womanizing sides. Hopefully they do more with him in Age of Ultron because he remains the least developed Avenger.
17: Bucky / The Winter Soldier
Appearances: Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier
You didn’t think they brought in Captain America’s best friend just to kill him off in the first movie, did you? Being reborn as the way cooler Winter Soldier, and armed with a nine movie deal, one would think Bucky Barnes is poised to do even bigger things in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Plus, admit it. That was cool as all hell when he caught Cap’s shield!
16: Drax the Destroyer
Appearances: Guardians of the Galaxy
Dave Bautista brought depth, humor and empathy to a character that is basically on a one-dimensional mission of vengeance. I would wager he was able draw heavily on the pain he felt when Triple H turned on him and kicked him out of Evolution. Or maybe the dude is just a surprisingly good actor playing a terrific character.
