November 21st marked show time for Peaches Christ’s latest masterpiece, this time being “Addams Family Values”. With a stunning cast of Heklina as Uncle Fester, Peaches herself playing a lifelong inspiration of mine, Wednesday, Sharon Needles as the bewitching Morticia, Jinkx Monsoon playing one of her favourite characters, Debbie, and many more, the show has been quoted as “incredibly funny and entertaining and the cast was filled with so much talent and energy” (thanks, @velveteen15!). The show even contained one of Sharon’s new songs from her sophomore album “Taxidermy”, “Scream” and of course Jinkx’s hilarious “What About Debbie”. Congratulations to the cast, all involved and of course Peaches for another wonderful show!
It seems only yesterday Violet Chachki was crowned winner of Season 7, and Season 8 is already upon us! It’s rumoured that the announcement of the cast will be on the 7th of December! With internet speculations of the incredibly conceptual Kim-Chi and the hilarious Bob the Drag Queen being on the list, I can’t wait to see who else pops up! May the best woman win!
This week also marked release of the “Happy Birthday Marsha” trailer. Filmmakers Reina Gossett and Sasha Wortzel have released a trailer for a film about the life of gay liberation activist Marsha P Johnson. Drag queen Johnson was the first person to throw a brick during the Stonewall riots of 1969. The trailer gives hints of a wonderful story as well as trans actress Mya Taylor playing Marsha, which is almost a huge middle finger to the recent release “Stonewall” which had been criticised for whitewashing the story of the riots and changing Marsha’s character to a white cis male. The filmakers currently have an indigogo for the production of the film, so donate here *https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/happy-birthday-marsha-post-production#/* if you’d like to see the movie happen!

This week the drop of photos for “CANDY MAGAZINE” well and truly broke the internet. With shots of Courtney, Willam, Alaska, Ivy, girls from the Battle of the Seasons tour and some particular high fashion shots of Violet and Miss Fame by Ali Mahdavi, almost every social media has been filled with fans and followers gushing over these stylised shots. Check the magazine out here!
And finally, the long awaited Youtube series “BEATDOWN” is back! After Willam launched a Kickstarter for a third season due to the popularity of the first two earlier in the year (and raised an incredible amount, go Will), the hilarious Beatdown is back. Check out Willam looking adorable and being foul mouthed in the first episode of the new season here:
