Welcome to the Week In Drag!
This week I was reunited with my friend Max for his second trip to the UK (his true homeland. Kind of..). I accompanied Max as his last stop of the mini tour, at London’s “West 5” in South Ealing. Hosted by the lovely Vicky Vivacious, the pair put on a wonderful show! Catch Max at his two upcoming “Collective” shows at the Bryant Lake Bowel and Theater in Minneapolis on the 5th and 6th of February.
Last week was LA IMATS! The International Make-Up Artist Trade Show, more commonly known as “IMATS” was in LA this past week. You have to check out their Instagram to see how many incredible looks were showcased there, including special effects, drag, cartoon, film recreations just to name a few. Check out their Twitter and Instagram to see coverage of the event.
Miss Fame also released her music video for “I Run The Runway” this week, but only to delete the video the same day! The video was a mash up of herself and Violet in and out of drag, starting on a runway followed by making out with each other in and out of drag and ending in a fight between the two. We don’t know why the video was removed but it’s steaminess has been compared to that of Adore and Courtney making out in the “Jump the Gun” video.
Continuing in Miss Fame news, she has absolutely SLAYED us this week (as per usual tbh). Fame recreated her signature face on Willam, NikkieTutorial and Jeffree Star! Catch Fame on her #PaintedByFame tour, tickets here.
Last but not least, on January 16th “Drag Queens of Comedy” came to NYC’s Irving Plaza. The lineup including Lady Bunny, Bianca Del Rio, Sasha Soprano, Coco Peru, Sherry Vine (substituting for a sick Shangela), Pandora, Alaska, Willam and Ginger. Highlights of the sold out show included a new parody from Willam (Hello by Adele, substituted for “Fuck You”), and introduction to comedy from Alaska, Lady Bunny dancing to “The Drag Queen Song” and Sherry Vine pretending to do choreography. Can they bring this to the UK already?
We’re starting up a new series this week called the WERRRK.com Fan Video of the Week. If you’re out at your local club and your favorite queen is performing a sickening number, break out your phone and film it! Send it to us at chiffondior@gmail.com (or message Chiffon on Facebook) and it might get picked to be our Fan Video of the Week! Our first video comes to us from Jenn Witek of Jenn Witek Photography! She was on hand at Boots and Saddle in New York City to see the outrageous Dusty Ray Bottoms performing Alaska Thunderfuck’s hit song “Hieeee”! Check it out!

See you all next week for another all new edition of “The Week in Drag”! If you think we missed a story or if you have suggestion for next week, tweet us at @WERRRKdotcom and let us know!
