It’s time for the breakdown of the 2016 Grammy Awards Red Carpet! You all know the Grammys are my favorite award show so I can’t tell you how excited I am! Lets not wait any longer. Here we go! I am listing my top looks, in no particular order.
1.Selena Gomez in Calvin Klein
Selena looked absolutely stunning in a blue Calvin Klein dress. She looked like a majestic mermaid who somehow came ashore to enjoy the music of humans in the overworld. I love this look. The cut-outs are great and the train is perfect. Usually I am not entirely in love with Selena’s looks… but this year she killed it!
2.Kacey Musgraves in Armani Prive
This look is incredible. The color scheme is absolutely perfect. I have seen this silhouette several times before. I believe Zendaya just wore the same type of dress recently. But this was my favorite instance, for sure. The texture is so attractive, and the colors just seem to glow on Kacey’s skin. I love it. Amazing
3.Carrie Underwood in Nicolas Jebran
This gown is perfect. At first I was kind of bored of it. From a distance, it kind of drowned together in all of the black drape. But after I saw this picture, I fell in love. The slit on the side is at a perfect length, and the pleats are great. I love it. My only complaint is the awkward space between the bodice cups.
4. Lady Gaga in Marc Jacobs
You already know what I am going to say. This look is perfect. From the red hair, to the red heels… Gaga looks amazing. I know for fact Bowie is very happy and proud of Gaga. If anyone was going to do a tribute, it should have been Gaga. Also, I would not mind if Gaga kept this red hair. It is so dope!
5. Demi Lovato in Norisol Ferrari
Demi! You killed it. Demi wore a simple black ensemble of a jacket and a skirt. It was very simple but it was super great. It’s fun seeing Demi at award shoes these days because her fashion game has been stepped up! She is certainly not a Disney Channel girl anymore, that’s for sure.
6. Bella Hadid in Alexandre Vauthier
I loved the silhouette of this dress. The neckline was really sweet and it went really well with the side cut-outs that went into it. Another important in this look is the slicked back hair. The hair really brings together the look. Just head to toe, this look is perfect..
7. Florence Welch in Gucci
My dear Florence! I am so happy to see you! Florence looked beautiful in a Gucci gown. It was so cute and so very… well Florence. The color looked beautiful on her and the flowing drape just really helped Florence’s personality shine on that carpet. I love it! I am happy the Alabama Shakes won their first Grammy, but honestly… Florence deserved it more.
8. Alessandra Ambrosio in Versace
Donatella strikes again! I am in love with this dress. The cutouts are so sharp and the contrast fabrics really just make your eyes wonder. Alessandra looks like she was born to wear this dress and that is something designers usually hope for when their clients put on their dress.
9. Ariana Grande in Romona Keveza
Ariana! Last year at the Grammys I was pretty disappointed in her outfit… even if it was Versace. But this year, she rose from the ashes and she looked amazing. This gown fits her perfectly and the shape is just perfect. The back of the gown even has a spine like trim and I love it! Great job Ariana. It’s tough though because the gown and the carpet kind of drown together.
As projected, the Red Carpet this year was fire! Who is wearing my all-time favorite look this year… hmmm. I would have to say Alesandra Ambrosio in Versace. The look is just absolutely perfect and I have no negative criticisms. I wanted to pick Kacey Musgrave and her Armani Prive but I wish she slicked back her hair or something.
