Hello Everyone! I am super excited to be back. Emmys fashion is always amazing so this should be lots of fun! Now I shall warn everyone… this is the award show where Game of Thrones and American Horror Story are in the spotlight so excuse my fanboy nature…I’m looking at you Sarah Paulson. You’ll have your time in a few moments let me just talk about some fashion first.
Angela Basset wearing Christian Siriano
Once again, Angela looks breathtaking. If you looked up “black doesn’t crack” in the dictionary, a picture of Angela Basset would be showing. This women defies the laws of age. I love the beautiful yellow color on her. The neckline is also a prefect shape. Angela Basset will never not disappoint to be honest.
Giuliana Rancic in Georges Chakra
Giuliana Rancic. I have a odd relationship with Giuliana. Honestly she is too much for me and I think she needs to take a few notes from some other reporters… but her gown is freaking gorgeous so… I’ll just leave it at that. I love it.
Kristen Bell in Zuhair Murad
The star of “Bad Moms” is one of the best dressed for sure. This look is everything. Kristen Bell has never looked better! The fabric is beautiful and the neckline is spot-on. Not to mention that this flared skirt is an example of what fashion people like me dream about! I just have to sketch this later it is so gorgeous. You go Kristen.
Emilia Clarke in Atelier Versace
I need oxygen. The Mother of Dragons is wearing fu***** Versace. Folks, I wish I could explain to you how amazing this is. You all know I am Versace’s biggest fan. So when THE Daenerys Stormborn shows up to the Emmys wearing Versace it’s like a dream come true. She looks like a goddess in true Versace form. Absolutely stunning. Only thing missing was a robotic dragon to walk her down the carpet.
Debbie Matenopoulos in Nikolaki
The hostess with the mostest Debbie Matenopoulous was breathtaking in a pale pink Nikolaki gown! My dear friends Nick Verreos and David Paul did incredible work. I am in love with this color and of course the train on this gown. Also I love that it is strapless because it really drew attention to that beautiful collar bone which we all know is my favorite. Very classic, clean look!
The Cast of Stranger Things
Guys, these kids are killing it. There is a level of fashion in this picture that I haven’t even been able to achieve in my lifetime that they accomplished in one night. Especially, Millie Bobby Brown… That girl is wearing Valentino and looking more like a model than Kendall Jenner ever will. I am so impressed by this girl and I know her career is going to see great things.
Natasha Lyonne in Sally LaPointe
I love this look on Natasha. It’s obviously not my favorite but something about it really drew me in. Her high-low cape really captured my attention and I think it was a ton of fun.
Sarah Paulson in Prada
Alright here we go…. I promised myself I wouldn’t cry. For what seems like forever now, the Michelle Visage to my RuPaul, Sidney Joel Stokes, and I have been talking endlessly in articles and in person about the fact that Sarah Paulson deserves all of the Emmys and, every best dressed award, hell she probably deserves Olympic medals. I feel like a proud parent watching Sarah Paulson KILL it on the carpet in Prada. Her hair, accessories, dress, the neckline, everything about this look is perfect. By far, the best dressed of the night. Sarah sparkled like a flawless emerald on that carpet and everyone was looking at her. I am so happy she won her Emmy. I can’t think of anyone more deserving. I can sleep easy tonight…
Emily Ratajkowski in Zac Posen
Damn that gown is gorgeous. I love this gown. The color is stunning. The mermaid gown has so much detail. It really is such a fine example of the art of fashion. The talent of Zac Posen really shines through. Because the bottom half of the gown is so crazy and sculptured, I think less would be more in the bodice. But all in all it was a beautiful gown.
Sophie Turner in Valentino
Once again, I need my oxygen tank because Sansa Stark is out here in Valentino. What a glorious day. It feels like it was just yesterday when I was watching ginger haired Sansa crying over Joffrey at Winterfell. Now she is looking all sorts of amazing with blonde hair and a gorgeous black Valentino lace dress. Honestly, I think the Emmys are trying to kill me this year. Sophie, keep being a badass. You look amazing.
The fashion this year was out of this world. Honestly there are so many looks that can easily be put in the top three. But to me, the top three were obviously Emilia Clarke, Sarah Paulson, and Sophie Turner.
Sarah Paulson is my pick for best dressed this year. She looked perfect and I don’t think I will ever forget this night. This woman deserved an Emmy and she knew this was her night so she decided to win “Best Dressed” in Prada as well. I love her and I am proud to be one of her loyal fans. Watch American Horror Story and stop complaining everyone.
