Hello everyone. If you are reading this, that means you survived another Halloween so congratulations! Is it me or does it feel like American Horror Story always falls on hard nights to watch? Anyways, last night’s episode of American Horror Story was insane. Like… really insane! This season has truly had some horrific, cringe-worthy moments and I LOVE IT. So let’s break it down shall we?
The Good
Gosh there was so much to this episode. First of all, this episode was directed by Angela Bassett and it was amazing. Evan Peters played like 1,000 characters last night, including David Koresh and Jim Jones. AHS recreated scenes from The Mount Carmel Center and Georgetown, Guyana which was super disturbing. Yet, very masterfully done. This Cult theme is so deep and terrifying. I loved the new “Dark Ally Richards”. I have no idea how Ivy didn’t know that her wine was poisoned it was so obvious. But DAMN, Ally threw down the mic this episode. Sorry Ivy, you had it coming. I loved it. Sarah Paulson never fails to amaze me. I love the introduction of the concept of “fake news”, it was a little too familiar. Gosh this whole situation with Kai though is getting way out of control. I am actually scared for these characters. I mean, Kai convinced himself and everyone else (but Ally) that he is Oz’s father. This show is twisted man.
The Bad
What was there to really not like about this episode? It was full of history, terror, and suspense! I guess my only complaints would be in the city council? How is no one seeing what Kai is doing. I get he has threatened some of them but like… there are just some holes in the story I guess. CNN would be all over this thing so I am sure this would play out a little differently. Also did Ally make that dramatic entrance into the Cult… only so she could get out of it the very next episode. I don’t know, just petty things I guess.
In Summation
My fear of religious whit people is growing stronger every Tuesday. I don’t know about you, but I may never drink Kool-Aid again? Ivy trying to explain why she joined a cult of murderous clowns because Ally voted for Jill Stein is probably one of the craziest things I have ever heard… yet I understand. Come on Ivy, I can smell the poison through the television screen. If our real life government serves as an inspiration to this show, then I am sure Kai will be a Senator in no time! If I were Ally, I would try to get away from Kai and maybe not get closer. Has Ally even watched The Handsmaid’s Tales yet?
Well boy that was quite an episode! I can’t even imagine what is going to happen next week? Oh wait, I can because we have a trailer. Watch the trailer below and I will see you all next time! Don’t drink the Kool-Aid.
