Episode 3: All-A-Day

The Drag Tots are back to celebrate the All-A-Days, an inaugural event where students can choose any holiday – or special day – to represent. As Corny the Unicorn (RuPaul) – dressed as Doris Day – is explaining why the school has started this special day, Dina Saur (Bianca del Rio) walks up to pronounce “Bah Humbug!” on the whole affair. Luckily, the other Tots are not to be deterred by Dina’s bad attitude. Lady Liber T (Latrice Royale) is celebrating Dashiki Friday – “an African-American event started in Baltimore, which encourages black people to wear Dashikis and support black owned businesses” Arugula (Valentina) is representing Flag Day, with a sickening ensemble assembled from flags around the world. Roxy Moron (Adore Delano), sweet, simple angel that she is, is celebrating my personal favorite holiday – Taco Tuesday! The other tots are offended by this choice, but pipe right on down when Roxy starts handing out free tacos. Dina decides to “join” the festivities by representing “Judgment Day” and judges the other Tots and Corny accordingly. However, she too is eventually won over by the sweet siren call of tacos – mmmmmmmm tacos…….

Sorry, what were we talking about? Oh yeah, the episode. It was a cute episode, once again each of the Tots takes something away they may not have known before, and it ends on a happy note. The entire episode runs less than 3 minutes and as always, it’s fun to hear the voices of some of our favorite Drag Race queens come from the mouths of cartoon babes.

Episode 4: Wig Farm

On this episode of Drag Tots, we’re going to learn about the importance of a good wig. As the other Tots, and Corny, are hanging around outside, Arugula approaches, her “hair” looking a hot mess and it takes Dina exactly .23 seconds to read her for it. Arugula spouts the classic Alaska Thunderfuck line “this is my hair, I don’t wear wigs” (and I was really waiting for someone to say, if that’s your hair I wouldn’t brag about it but SPOILER no one did.) Again, she is read for how “flat and thirsty” she looks, and she is forced to concede that it is a wig and defend that “good wigs are expensive.” (Don’t I know it, gurl.) This is where we learn where good wigs come from – Wig Farms. Roxy reveals that she in fact grew up on a Wig Farm; naturally the only solution is to take a field trip!

They arrive at Roxy’s family Wig Farm and after a quick kiki outside, head in to learn about how wigs are made. Roxy takes the others on a tour, teaching them about the ways the wigs are cared for – grown with care, shampoo’d, blown and massaged. Arugula sees a wig she likes and tries to yank it free, but Roxy tells her “you can’t snatch a wig before it’s time.” Next she shows them to the “Free Range Wigs.” It’s truly an educational episode, learning the origins of different wigs and of course, the word of the week from Lady Liber T: “Wigins: vegans to wear wigs.” Roxy assures her that their corn silk wigs are glam! – this is all done in rhyme, by the way, I’ll spare you trying to re-create it. Once the lesson is over, Roxy goes full Oprah and makes sure everyone walks away with a new wig that they love.

WOW Quickies: Drag Tots (Episodes 3 & 4) 6

This was probably my favorite episode so far, it was actually educational and extremely fun to see the Tots outside of the school. Though there’s still no sign of Detox’s character, I can’t wait to see what the Tots do next. Don’t miss Drag Tots, available on WoW Presents Plus, and of course make sure to check in here soon for a re-cap of the next couple of episodes! Happy wig-hunting!
