Though we’re not even close to the final of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, RuPaul gifted us the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 11 bright and early this morning. In an interesting and at most points awkward introduction from reigning queen Aquaria and figure skater Adam Rippon, the upcoming queens were brought to our TV screens for the first time before all the drama and competition stuff starts going down. Here are your queens for the upcoming season of Drag Race.
A’Keria Chanel Davenport
You know it’ll be a good season when a Davenport is in the workroom. A’Keira Chanel Davenport reigns from Huston, Texas and holds several pageant titles, including Miss Black Universe and Miss International Vogue. Who else is ready to see this fierce queen lip synch?
Ariel Versace
I think we’ve heard this queen rumored to be apart of the cast for the last several seasons. Ariel Versace is finally entering the workroom. A fan favorite, she’s racked up 120.5K followers on Instagram. She’s a Philly queen who has her look down to a T.
Brooke Lynn Hytes
So, I may be a bit bias here because I am SO excited about this queen gracing the mainstage. Originally from the Great North, Toronto, Ontario to be specific, this Canadian beauty now calls Nashville, Tennesse her home. Aside from being the first Canadien queen to join the cast, she also has a background in ballet that is sure to make her a fun performer to watch.
Honey Davenport
Wait, you mean to tell me this season has TWO Davenports?! Honey Davenport calls New York City home and also has a famous child of her own, miss Monet X Change. Apparently, she’s known for her live singing performances, which is great news because maybe we’ll finally get some good vocals for the singing challenge.
Kahanna Montrese
Does that name sound familiar? Coco Montrese’s drag daughter is joining the season 11 cast. This Las Vegas-bred queen has learned from the best drama storyline and with another Haus of Edwards queen on board as well this season, maybe we’ll get some drama? Regardless,
Mercedes Iman Diamond
Mercedes Iman Diamond is another queen I am so excited to see hit the mainstage! She turns out looks with a bit of pageant flare. She has a few titles to her name and will also be the first Muslim queen to hit the mainstage!
Nina West
Probably Ohio’s most beloved drag queen, Nina West is sure to give you comedy and turn out looks every time she takes the stage. Miss Nina is a wonderful addition to the cast, not just because of her incredible drag, but also because she is a genuinely kindhearted queen. She gives back to her community as one of the most charitable queens in the game!
Plastique Tiara
Not sure how I’ve never heard of this queen before! Plastique reigns from the Haus of Edwards, so you know she’s here to turn out looks while bringing all the choreography the world has to offer.
Rajah O’Hara
You know what they say, everything is bigger in Texas. We have another Texas queen joining the cast. Another fierce dancer, she’s won the Miss Texas FFI pageant. Her fun personality paired with her sickening talent will make her a fierce competitor this season!
Scarlet Envy
To quote the great Kandy Ho, this queen is right on my alley. The New York City beauty brings all the glamour of Old Hollywood to her drag, which is exactly my style. She’s performed in Sasha Velour’s show, Nightgowns, which I hear is a pretty high honor. She’s also made transformation videos with Harper Bazaar.
Shuga Cain
Shuga Cain does it all; she’s a comedy queen, she turns out looks, she bakes treats, what more could you ask for in a queen? She calls New York City home, which basically means great drag that’ll take her far in the competition, right? I think she will be a fun one to watch!
Silky Nutmeg Ganche
With a name like that, what’s not to love?! This queen isn’t all beauty, she also has the brains. She’s currently working on her doctorate in Philosophy! So make sure you throw some dollar bills at her when she comes to your city!
Soju
Are you ready for shots with Soju? This Korean queen brings all of your K-Pop dreams to life. With her infamous Youtube show, we already know and love her personality. Can’t wait to see what she brings to the show!
Yvie Oddly
Denver’s commodity queen will be sure to bring top notch looks to the main stage. She is creative, fun, and high fashion. Self described as tall and weird, she is going to be the life of the party.
Vanessa Vanjie Mateo
Did you all hear that? Yes, those ‘Miss Vanjie’s’ you’ve been hearing aren’t just residual hauntings. Gone-to-soon Vanessa Vanjie Mateo is back, back, back again. I can’t wait to see what the meme queen herself gifts us this time around!
These are your season 11 queens! Now that we got all of that out of the way, whose team are you reppin’ so far? Make sure you sound off in the comments below!
