Hello everyone! Welcome back to another “Haute Second with Spencer” Oscars recap! Oh man I need another tissue! I can’t stop crying. Lady Gaga is a f***ing Oscar winner, damn it! Wow, that was a great award show. There were quite a few surprises for sure, but really I feel like this was such a talented field. Everyone was so deserving.
Want to know what was even better than the award show? The red carpet of course! This was a fantastic red carpet, full of so many fantastic looks. Let’s get right to it, shall we? Don’t forget to vote for you Best Dressed at the end of the article.
Billy Porter wearing Christian Siriano
Billy Porter won the Oscars before they even started. Tens, tens, tens across the board. Billy is wearing an elegant black gown by Christian Siriano.
Jennifer Lopez wearing Tom Ford

Jennifer Lopez often tends to show up to award shows for no apparent reason, but I am glad she does. There is no words that rightfully explain how incredible she looks. This silver mosaic dress is of course by Tom Ford.
Sarah Paulson wearing Brandon Maxwell

As always, the queen of my heart did it again. Sarah Paulson ravished the red carpet wearing a brilliant ensemble by one of my favorite designers, Brandon Maxwell. She looks perfect.
Lisa Bonet wearing Fendi

I am obsessed with Lisa Bonet. She is such a freaking bad ass. Here she is wearing a beautiful Fendi piece in tribute to the late,
Karl Lagerfeld. I wish the hem was just barely kissing the carpet, but whatever. Lisa looks fantastic.
Glenn Close wearing Wes Gordon

Well if it isn’t the legend herself, Glenn Close! So yes, she may have possibly been snubbed at this years’s ceremony. However, we don’t need to get into that right now because her red carpet elegance was flawless! She us literally dripping in Wes Gordon gold.
Angela Bassett wearing Reem Acra

Listen up white devils! Angela Bassett came in support of Black Panther and … just wow! Why is she so perfect? Honestly, Angela could wear anything and I would put her on my best dressed list. You can’t even be mad about it. Angela stunned on the red carpet in a pink Reem Acra gown.
Kacey Musgraves wearing Giambattista Valli

Okay can I just start by saying how much better this dress is in comparison to Kacey Musgraves’s Grammys dress! This is stunning. I love everything about this Giambattista Valli dress, especially the color. Kacey always looks so beautiful and her Oscars moment was no different.
Regina King wearing Oscar De La Renta

Of course Regina King won big at the Oscars! Before winning the Best Supporting Actress award, Regina King slayed on the red carpet wearing Oscar De La Renta. Regina deserves the world.
Michelle Yeoh wearing Elie Saab

I am obsessed with Michelle Yeoh. She looked absolutely stunning in this gorgeous Elie Saab gown. She moves across the carpet as a radiant goddess, and I am so happy for her!
Emilia Clarke wearing Balmain

The Mother of Dragons and likely future queen of Westeros, Emilia Clarke was a presenter at last night’s Oscars. Before she graced the main stage, Emilia showed off in a Balmain dress. Wow, I just love this so much
Lady Gaga wearing Alexander McQueen and Tiffany & Co. Jewelry

Where are the words for this incredible human being. Well, she won an Oscar last night and I am so proud of her! I have supported Lady Gaga since the very beginning of her career. For years, people made fun of me for supporting such a weirdo. It is now more clear to me than ever that they were really the weirdos. On the red carpet, Gaga wore a black Alexander McQueen gown and a 128.54-carat Tiffany & Co diamond, aptly named the “Tiffany” diamond. This jewel “was last worn by Audrey Hepburn in 1962 for publicity posters for Breakfast At Tiffany’s. That is iconic.
So this red-carpet was incredible. There were so many different looks and I am in love. Okay, it’s time to pick a top three. Are you ready for this? Good, because I am not. Let’s see here, who should it be?

I am feeling a certain color palette at last night’s carpet. Yes, these three were my favorite stand-out looks. They were both very different and a lot of fun. I am sure you don’t Disagree with me but if you do, then vote in the poll below!
I am feeling kind of sad knowing we aren’t going to have another red-carpet for a a few months. Ugh! Don’t worry it will come soon enough. Our next carpet scheduled is currently the Met Gala in May. Thank you all for reading and I look forward to hearing your thoughts soon!
