Another week, another terrifying episode of The Walking Dead! Welcome back everyone. On this week’s edition of “What The Walking Dead”, we are talking about the episode titled, “Guardians”. Things are really starting to get real in those woods and I am getting nervous. Let’s talk about it, shall we? If you missed last week’s recap, follow this link now!
A Love… Square?
Okay, what the hell is going on here? Why is it that every person in town seems to be dating Rosita? Okay so if this was your first time watching the show, you rightfully would be confused on who is in love with who. Especially after listening to Eugene talk about his damn charts…
So here is the deal, Rosita is in a relationship with Gabriel. However, before this relationship Rosita was in a affair with Siddiq – which is how Rosita became pregnant. On top of all of this, Eugene has been hopelessly in love with Rosita for what seem like forever. Is any of this relevant? Probably not, but I was just so confused I had to put this down for those who need it.
The Fair is In Town!
Michonne hasn’t had some screen time in a while, so it was nice to see her. But Michonne would probably not say the same about her current situation. Outside of the walls of Alexandria is a traveling group of crazy people wearing zombie masks. On the inside, Michonne’s adopted daughter is making friends with Negan, and her council is over her low-key dictatorship.
Give it up Michonne, the fair is happening. If Carol wants it to happen, so be it. Obviously this is a bad idea but what can you do. It’s The Walking Dead.
Alpha Does Not Play
I was not mentally prepared for the Whisperer camp. It’s scary as hell. The camp reminds me of that scene in “Return of The King“, when Frodo and Sam are disguised as Orcs in Mordor. Chills!
Alpha is never in a good mood apparently. Within one episode, Alpha slapped her daughter, cut someone’s head off, and stabbed a dude in the kidneys. Just when you think that might be enough for one episode, Alpha forces Lydia to kill Henry! Unfortunately, Daryl broke up this weirdo party by bringing in actual Walkers. Henry and Lydia are rescued, hooray?
In Summation
I am sort of here to this Negan redemption story. You might not be, but you’ll come around to it. Beta is seriously the creepiest dude to appear on this show. Can we settle this the easy way? Just put Carol and Alpha in a boxing ring and let them go. I am sensing a Twilight story arc coming up with Eugene and Rosita’s baby. He for sure imprinted on it. I feel like someone needs to buy Michonne a drink. Whisperers are like sharks, if they stop moving they die. That sounded cooler in my head. I wish Lydia killed Henry. It would have saved me a lot of second hand embarrassment.
Okay that episode was creepy but in the end, just more build up. Next week, it’s finally popping off. Daryl is going to kick Beta’s ass! Well, I hope he does… Thank you all for reading, and I will see you same time, next week!
