We were able to get a few words with Merrie about being part of this year’s Austin International Drag Festival!
Congratulations on being named a headliner Merrie! How did you get involved with the Austin International Drag Festival and what does this opportunity mean to you?
I remember hearing about Drag Fest during the first year. My sisters and I were so excited about an event of that size being created. We have Bushwig in NYC, but this was different, It was an event that local performers from all over were being highlighted. I am happy to see the growth.
For those people living under a rock, can you tell us a little bit about Merrie Cherry and your drag?
Merrie Cherry is a loud, vibrant, community-driven drag queen that will always give a show that you will never forget!
