Into the Draglands is an online drag competition put on by performers of California’s Central Valley. It is the brainchild of Hellen Heels, a popular drag queen know for hosting in Stockton and Sacramento, and performing throughout the Bay Area. The basis of the competition is to showcase these performers by assigning them different challenges every week that push them out of their comfort zones in order to challenge them to show off the full range of their talent. They were required to select their own music, do their own costuming and hair, and to perform as if the world were watching. Some performers consistently ride high, while others crack under the pressure. The performances have been judged post-production so there is the added twist of performers having no idea what the critiques are, if they win a challenge, or even when they are eliminated until they watch live!
Congratulations Tilly Creams on being named a competitor for Into The Draglands! What does this opportunity mean to you?
This opportunity to me means so much because it really gave me a chance to challenge myself and bring something new to my style of drag that I could share with everyone. Also helped motivate me to not become a quarantined couch potato.
For those people who might not be familiar with TIlly Creams, can you tell us a little bit about you and your drag? How did you get your start?
I’m known for serving fem realness and dancing the house down boots, but I personally believe I’m a versatile queen (no pun intended). I actually started drag through a dare and realized how much fun and influential drag was to our community/ world. The impact it can make on someone made me want to pursue it.

What you can expect from yours truly in Into the Draglands will be an all new me. All my performances each have something different and new that I haven’t really ever shown or performed before. You’ll get the good, the bad, and the, “I can’t look away but I don’t know what’s happening” sensation. If you didn’t know the meaning behind my name before then you’ll definitely find out why in the show. Hide your mans cuz Tilly Creams don’t play.
