It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for, squirrel friends! We FINALLY found out what that game within a game was all about! This week’s episode featured the whole cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 6. Let’s talk about it!
The episode opened with a montage of all the queens who had sashayed away up until this point. In case you forgot, the queens went home in this order: Serena Cha Cha, Jiggly Caliente, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, Yara Sofia, Scarlett Envy, A’Keria C. Davenport, Jan, Pandora Boxx, and Eureka O’Hara. But we will get to them later.
The final four, Kylie Sonique Love, Ginger Minj, Trinity K. Bonet, and Ra’Jah O’Hara returned to the workroom where they went through the box and found that everyone had voted to eliminate Eureka, other than Eureka herself, of course. Before the queens could even get out of drag, the “oooh girl” went off. The queens knew something was up.
It wasn’t RuPaul that appeared on the screen, it was Carson Kressley! He broke the news to the queens that there was a game within a game. Unlike us, they didn’t get to hear the announcement every week after each challenge. Carson let them all know that the game within a game was a lip-sync redemption. I’m jealous they got to find out so quickly. We had to wait 10 episodes.
As it turns out, the queens were secretly lip-syncing after each episode for their chance to return to the competition. They were competing against each other, which is a fun concept. We all got to watch each lip-sync performance, which was a lot of fun. First up was Serena vs. Jiggly, who faced off to Free Your Mind by En Vogue. Jiggly was the winner.
Up next came Jiggly vs Silky. In unintentionally matching cheetah print outfits, the queens faced off to Girls Just Want To Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper. Jiggly used her trademark lollipop as a makeshift microphone while Silky pulled a glass, ice, and a drink out of her bra. Silky took this one home. Next came Silky vs. Yara. Yara asked Silky if she needed help rupacking, which was hilarious. They lip-synced to Point of No Return by Exposé. Silky was the winner again.
Silky faced her third opponent, Scarlett. The song was Song For The Lonely by Cher. Silky was victorious yet again. Next up, she was going to face A’Keria, but A’Keria chose to respectfully deny the opportunity. It was a bummer because we are a huge fan of her, but she handled it with grace and kindness. So, Silky advanced by default, but chose to lip-sync anyway to Barbie Girl by Aqua where she had her face pointed as both a woman and a man to do both the parts of Barbie and Ken. Incredible.
Next came Silky vs. Jan. I was obsessed by the way she angrily walked down the runway. They faced off to Heartbreaker by Pat Benatar. Jan slid, broke a light, and had a wig reveal. I was obsessed. Silky pulled out a guitar prop somehow, so she won because RuPaul loves props.
Pandora had her chance to face SIlky next. The song was Focus by Ariana Grande. Ru picked Silky again. It was time for the final lip-sync. Silky faced Eureka Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson. Eureka gave Silky a run for her money. Both the queens were paying tribute to their mothers, but in the end, it was… we’ll find out next week. WHY DO WE WATCH THIS SHOW?!
So, next week we’ll find out if Eureka or Silky is coming back to the competition. I wish I was kidding. Who do you think is returning to the competition? Sound off in the comments below and tell us your thoughts!
