RuPaul’s Drag Race was back this week with instant drama. Daya Betty and Jorgeous got into it after Daya felt she was robbed of the win. Come the new day in the workroom, however, Daya apologized and all was good in the world.
RuPaul came in to let the queens know that they would be starring in a new soap opera, The Daytona Wind, which profiled three rival drag families: the Davenports, O’Haras, and Michaels. Jorgeous would be assigning roles since she won last week.
Jorgeous tried to play it safe by letting the queens assign the roles themselves. DeJa Skye and Jorgeous wanted the same role, but they ended up settling it easily because DeJa took a different role without a fight. Meanwhile, Lady Camden took a while to read the script and missed her chance to pick her own part so she got the last role standing. Her character does get to kiss Angeria VanMichaels‘, so she won in the end.
Don’t get too excited, @Angeriavm 😏💋 #DragRace pic.twitter.com/a6qUDRRapu

While the queens were going through their lines, Willow Pill, Bosco, and Daya were strong, while team Kerry Colby, DeJa, and Jorgeous weren’t as lucky. Kerry and DeJa were great, but Jorgeous was having a hard time remembering her line.
It was time for the contestants to film their performances with none other than director RuPaul. DeJa had a hard time with her southern accent, while Jasmine Kennedie killed it with her wild accent. As Bosco explained, it was so bad it was good. Daya finally got the positive praise from RuPaul that she had been looking for.

Ru was joined on the main stage by Michelle Visage, Ross Matthews, and the incredible TS Madison. The category for the main stage was chaps on the runway. Lady Camden had the moment of all moments on the runway, tricking us all into thinking she fell, but it was intentional. I’m not sure how to even explain it, but it was shocking and amazing all at once.
.@ladycamden really said “oh no I hope I don’t fall” 😏 #DragRace pic.twitter.com/yipXP6LLIM

It was time to watch the final cut of Daytona Wind, which had dubbed fart noises throughout the whole thing. I don’t think I have ever seen RuPaul laugh harder. Of course, it was completely ridiculous. As a result of Ru’s enjoyment, there were no bottoms this week. Instead, Lady Camden and Daya Betty faced off to become the winner of the challenge.
The pair faced off to One Way or Another by Blondie. It was such a fun performance. In the end, Lady Camden won the challenge, while Daya lived to slay another day.
