After last week’s shocking elimination of Kerry Colby, RuPaul’s Drag Race started with Jasmine Kennedie reflecting on how Kerry helped her understand she needed to live her life authentically as a transgender woman. She felt terrible for sending her home, but the moment of mourning ended to celebrate Daya Betty‘s win.
This week, there was a mini-challenge for once. The queens had to photobomb celebrity photos. Willow Pill‘s look was absolutely amazing. She won the challenge!
To celebrate the return of RuPaul’s Drag Con, the queens would be leading a panel to discuss everyone’s favorite topic, men. They would be placed in teams, with Willow choosing her own team. She chose DeJa Skye, Angeria Paris VanMichaels and Lady Camden. The second team was made up of Daya, Bosco, Jorgeous, and Jasmine. Daya, of course, wasn’t happy with her team.
It was time for the teams to assign roles in the pannel. Jorgeous did not know what a moderator was, so that was the first roadblock for the day. The second was that Jasmine, notorious for overtalking, wanted to take on the role of moderator. They ended up giving the role to Bosco and Jasmine was understanding of it, which was good.
On the main stage, RuPaul was joined by Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and Nicole Byer to watch the queens host their panels. First up was team Willow, where Lady Camden thought Blake Lively was Blake Shelton. Meanwhile, Angie talked about how supportive her father was, which was the best.
Team Bosco and crew were up next. Bosco spoke for me when she said, “When I think of men, I ask why?” Bosco was on it. She stood out above and beyond the rest of her group.
On the runway, the category was shoulder pads. The looks were strong this week, but like in the challenge, Bosco stood out the most for me. She had a great week, which made it no surprise when the judges gave her strong critiques and she ended up winning the challenge! Willow and DeJa also got high critiques. Jorgeous and Jasmine were not as lucky.
Jasmine and Jorgeous found themselves in the bottom two. They faced off Somethings Got a Hold on Me by Etta James. Of course, they both turned it out. It was so good, in fact, that RuPaul saved them both. What an episode. I’ll see you next week for SNATCH GAME.
