Well, y’all, the first season of Vanjie: 24 Hours of Love has come to a close. Of course, it ended with a lot of drama, and we’re here to talk about it all.
The episode opened with Jack strapped to the lie detector. He was the only contestant to be given the hot seat. He was worried that he wasn’t going to pass the test because he was so nervous. When asked if he was truly there for a relationship with Vanjie, he was lying. That wasn’t the only lie. The results also came back that he was lying about wanting to date a drag queen.
Of course, Mama Vanjie went in on Jack. Before he could even finish the argument, the alarm rang for yet another elimination. It wasn’t looking good for Jack at that moment. Vanjie didn’t listen to her mom’s concerns and instead chose to send home Noel.
Mama Vanjie left the building but it was already time to make another elimination. Again, it wasn’t Jack. This time, it was Jozea. Vanjie said that she saw her more as a friend because they’ve rolled in the same circle for so long. He was shocked that he didn’t make it to the end.
With just two hours left and three contestants left in the running, it was time for Vanjie to have individual dates with the final three. She had her first one-on-one with Derek, and they seemed to enjoy each other’s company.
Next came Jarett The pair played a game where every time Jared shot a basket and made it, he would get a kiss from Vanjie. Vanjie revealed that Jared was a favorite of hers from the second he walked into the house. Plus, Mama Vanjie and the astrologer told her he was the one. Things look promising for Jarett.
Jack and Vanjie played a game of Jenga for their one-on-one date. They addressed the lie detector test and Jack got to explain how nervous he was.
The clock ran out and it was time for Vanjie to pick a winner. While it was definitely a hard choice for Vanjie, she ended up choosing Jack!
