Bushwig weekend!
New York’s iconic festival where over 100 drag queens take over the Brooklyn, New York neighborhood of Bushwick took place this weekend. Believe it or not, this event started out in someone’s backyard. Now, it’s one of the most popular queer festivals in the city.
The event saw a diverse lineup of performers. The legendary Haus of LaBeija took the stage, along with a surprise performance from the singer Yaeji. Chelsea Manning, the activist and whistleblower, was a featured DJ. At the end of the event, Janelle No 5 was crowned Miss Bushwig!
And the winner of Drag Race Down Under is…
Australia has a new reigning queen! The second season of Drag Race Down Under came to a close this week. The latest winner of the Drag Race franchise is Spankie Jackzon! The queen who wore one of the worst outfits ever made for a design challenge and nearly went home for it during the first episode charmed her way to the end! The fabulous and endearing queen won over not only our hearts but the whole dang thing! Congrats, Spankie!
Hulu is combining two of our favorite things: Halloween and drag!
There’s a new Halloween special set to hit Hulu on October 1st. Huluween Dragstravaganza features a whole lineup for some of our favorite drag performers including Monet X Change, Ginger Minj, Lady Bunny, Jackie Beat, Manila Luzon, Landon Cider, and JujuBee, just to name a few! Oh yeah, and Kesha joins the cast, too!
The show will feature 5 original musical numbers, which will be released to download, of course.

The book shares stories from their past, including behind-the-scenes info from Season 2 of Drag Race UK.
