It’s episode 3 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 and we already got Snatch Game. Can you believe? There wasn’t much to talk about early in the episode since RuPaul came in to introduce the challenge nearly immediately after the credits rolled in. This year’s Snatch Game was going to be longer, she claimed, even though the episodes got shorter.
The queens were split into two groups. The first group to compete included Marcia Marcia Marcia as Tim Gunn, Luxx Noir London portraying Amanda Lepore, Malaysia Babydoll Foxx played Saucy Santana, Mistress Isabelle Brooks took on Rosie O’Donnel, Robin Fierce was Karen Huger, Anetra made up a character named Gorgena Ramsey, and Salina EsTities was none other than the Virgin Mary. Do I have to bold her name?
Mistress seemed to dominate the attention of RuPaul. Marcia’s impression was spot on, and Salina’s take on the Virgin Mary was met with mixed reviews. Anetra got some laughs, but making up a character is always risky. Luxx and Malaysia fell short, while Robin seemed to fade into the background.
It was time for group two to hit the stage. Loosey LaDuca shined as Joan Rivers, Sasha Colby played televangelist Jan Crouch, Jax was the Mona Lisa, Sugar took on Trisha Paytas, Amethyst was Tan Mom, Spice played Miley Cyrus, and Aura Mayari tried out a performance as Bretman Rock.
Loosey was the clear star of this group. She did an incredible job. Amethyst and Sasha did well. However, Sugar, Spice, and Aura were painful to watch. Jax didn’t get much air time.
It was time for the queens to hit the runway in front of Ru, Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and Amandla Stenberg. The category was nightmare on the runway, Loosey, Sasha, and Luxx had my favorite looks of the night. There were some clear misses, but I’ll let you discuss that in the comments,
Lux, Sasha, Malaysia, Robin, Anetra, Jax, Salina, and Amethyst were safe. The tops this week were Marcia, Mistress, and Loosey, while Sugar, Spice, and Aura.
In the end, Loosey took home the win, while Sugar and Spice were bottom two!
The twins faced off to You Better Run Pat Benetar. The performance was somehow choreographed, which I did not enjoy. Spice stayed while Sugar sashayed away.
