Trixie gets into it with George Santos
George Santos, the disgraced politician, and former drag superstar Kitara Ravache got into the best Twitter fight with Trixie Mattel this week. He made a few too many references to RuPaul’s Drag Race lore that has us all even further convinced that he is a true stan. It’s probably best you check this out for yourself here.
The inaugural cast of Drag Race Belgium has been announced
Drag Race Belgium, hosted by Canada’s Drag Race star Rita Baga has announced its first cast. Meet the newest Rugirls, Amanda Tears, Athena Sorgelikis, Brittany Von Bottokx, Drag Couenne, Edna Sorgelen, Mademoiselle Boop, Mocca Bone, Peach, Susan, and Valenciaga.
Get acquainted with these new queens before the show premieres on February 16th!
Proud Boys put the crowd at risk at an all-ages drag show in Utah
Another heartbreaking story about conservatives harassing performers and attendees at an all-ages drag event. Tara Lipsyncki was hosting the event at a local tea shop when the Proud Boys showed up with guns. The event had to be canceled due to safety concerns.
These threats have moved from online to the streets, and Tara is hoping to spread awareness about the terrifying situation. We encourage all queer and trans youth and performers to stay vigilant when performing in general, but especially in all-ages settings. Everyone, please stay safe out there.
Nominees for the Queertie Awards have been announced!
On February 28th, the Queertie Awards will take place in Los Angeles, hosted by none other than Bianca Del Rio. There are a lot of amazing individuals nominated this year, including Jinkx Monsoon, Kornbread Jeté, Honey Mahogany, and Chicago legend, Tenderoni, just to name a few.
This year, the Queerties are presenting a “Girl, Bye” award, that could be given to Elon Musk, Candace Cameron Bure, or Kanye West, among other deserving cretins! We can’t wait to see how this turns out!
