Yet another country is getting a Drag Race series
Can’t get enough of RuPaul’s Drag Race and all the international spin-offs that have followed? Then I have good news for you. Drag Race Sverige was announced by World of Wonder this week. The Swedish version of the show has yet to release its cast, but we do know the series will premiere on March 4th.
Tyra Sanchez is making a comeback
RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2 winner, Tyra Sanchez, had a big fall from grace. After calling in a bomb threat to DragCon in 2018, fans were less than thrilled with the queen. The threats were so severe that the FBI raided her home in search of evidence. Now, however, she is going back on the road and rebranding as King Tyra. Her first few shows will take place in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, Georgia. What are your thoughts on her return to drag?
Kerri Colby’s new show on WOWPresents+ is a hit!
While her drag mother, Sasha Colby, slays on the current season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Kerri Colby is having her own time in the spotlight. The RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14 contestant landed her own WowPresents+ show, Kerri Cares, where she discusses issues from self-care to LGBTQ+ rights with special guests like Ongina and Mayhem Miller. Divina de Campo wins a big award
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 1 finalist, Divina de Campo, starred in Leeds Playhouse’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch production last year. Now, she has won the award for Best Performer in a New Production of a Musical in the 2022 Broadway World UK/ West End Awards. Congratulations, Divina!
Bootsie LeFaris wins Entertainer of the Year at the New York City Glam Awards
The 24th annual Glam Awards were a huge success, selling out Sony Hall as NYC nightlife celebrated another year. Congratulation to Bootsie LeFaris and to all the winners and nominees. Check out of some the pictures from the night here!
Queens Continental Pageantry crowns their winners
This past Monday night, Jenna Tall won Miss Queens Continental to punch her ticket back to Nationals this coming Labor Day weekend! In addition, Eliana La Flamme won the Plus category, Kiara Montego won the Elite category and Jean Carlos Osorio won Mister Queens Continental! Congratulations to all the winners!
