After the elimination of Robin Fierce, the queens returned to the workroom and started discussing issues that unfolded in Untucked. Malaysia Babydoll Foxx was upset about the argument that went down last week regarding the song choices. Sasha Colby tried to take the time to help Malaysia and Mistress Isabelle Brooks squash the beef. It didn’t really work out in the end.
It was a new day in the workroom and RuPaul came in to break up the tension. We got the maxi challenge immediately, which was a reboot of last season’s Daytona Winds. This time, it was a sitcom rather than a soap opera. Since Aura Mayari won last week, she got to assign the roles to the rest of the queens.
Everyone wanted the role of Fancy, which was no surprise since she was the biggest role. So, Aura gave it to herself. The rest of the characters were assigned well, believe it or not. There was no arguing this time around. However, Malaysia and Mistress, or Malystress as Marcia Marcia Marcia accidentally said, had to work closely together in their scene. Maybe the queens didn’t fight about assigning roles, but they will fight while working on the set.
Aura was struggling with Fancy, so she and Mistress swapped roles. Luxx Noir London thought she was pulling one over and getting the role she wanted in the end. Either way, Aura was not doing the biggest character justice. The queens recorded the performance in front of Ru herself, no pressure or anything. Good thing RuPaul laughs at everything, right? Because she was even laughing at Spice.
Aura and Jax seemed to struggle the most through their characters, while Malaysia and Mistress had Ru laughing the most. Then, there was a knock at the door and we were left wondering who it was because every queen lost their mind over it. But, alas, they cut to commercials.
It was time for the queens to hit the main stage in front of Ru, Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and Harvey Guillen. The category on the runway was puffer, please. There were a lot of great looks this week, but I think my favorites were Mistress and Luxx.
Then came the ruveal of Daytona Winds 2. The sound effects were absolutely insane. They were very kind, giving out laughs to those who did not deserve them. The best part of the show was when the man at the door was revealed as Danny Trejo. The queens were right, that was the last person I expected to see.
Loosey LaDuca, Luxx, Sasha, and Salina EsTitties were safe. Malaysia, Mistress, Marcia, and Anetra got positive critiques, while Spice, Aura, and Jax received negative ones. Mistress was the winner of the challenge, while Jax and Aura found themselves in the bottom two.
The girls faced off to Sweetest Pie by Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa. There was a clear winner of that lip sync, and it was Jax. She got to stay, while Aura sashayed away.
