RuPaul’s Drag Race: Blame It on the Edit (S15 E14)

It’s here, y’all. We have our final four. Following Loosey LaDuca’s elimination, Anetra, Sasha Colby, Luxx Noir London, and Mistress Isabelle Brooks were left to fight for the crown, which of course means they had to film a music video for this episode.

Here’s how it all went down. The queens would be writing their own lyrics to RuPaul’s Blame It on the Edit, record the space-themed video for their verse, and then join Ru and Michelle Visage for the infamous Tic-Tac lunch.

Sasha was the first to sit down with Ru and Michelle. She talked about her intensive resumé, her past exhausting work schedule, and how her inner saboteur impacted her time in the competition. She also shared about her family trauma, which was heartbreaking.

Next came Anetra, who opened up about growing up in the Mormon church. It was drag that helped her learn to express herself. Michelle then dropped the bomb that Anetra’s lip sync against Marcia Marcia Marcia was her favorite performance of all time. It sure was iconic.

Then came Mistress, who opened up about how she clashed a bit with queens like Loosey, while Luxx joined after and opened up about her background at a performing arts school.

After the queens chatted with the judges, they started running through the choreography for the music video. Mistress and Anetra struggled a bit with the moves, while Sasha and Luxx nailed it with ease. Eventually, Anetra got it down, but Mistress was in her head a bit.

It was finally time for the queens to hit the runway one last time in front of Ru, Michelle, and Ross Mathews. The category was drag excellence. Everyone looked incredible, but it was so fun to see Luxx in a gorgeous gown. Of course, no one does drag excellence better than Sasha, who was by far my favorite look of the evening.

The video was really fun. I think both Sasha’s verse and her looks were my favorites from it, but everyone really killed it. For the final critiques, each queen got high praise for their performances not only this evening but in the competition overall. The comments each queen got from the judges were so sweet and I’m not going to pretend I wasn’t crying, ok? This is a safe space. Following the kind reflections on the season, Ru made them talk to their younger selves. I’ll save you the tears on that one.

Sasha won the final challenge, instantly moving her into the grand finale. However, no one this really mattered other than Sasha landing the win, since Ru decided to keep all four of the queens around, but still made Anetra and Mistress lip sync. I think that was just because the judges wanted to see Anetra perform one last time. They faced off to When Love Takes Over by David Guetta and Kelly Clarkson.

So, who do y’all got? Are you team Anetra, Luxx, Sasha, or Mistress? Sound off in the comments below! I’ll see you all at the Drag Race finale.
