This week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars was a fun one! We got to see the eliminated queens, Monica Beverly Hillz, Naysha Lopez, Mrs. Kasha Davis, Darienne Lake, Jaymes Mansfield, Kahmora Montrese, LaLa Ri, Alexis Michelle, and Jessica Wild perform in a talent show! In case you were wondering where our talent performance was for the first episode, we’re getting it now. I’ll take it!
But first, Jimbo and Kandy Muse were back in the workroom to celebrate their spots in the top two. They jumped on the couches for the occasion. Then, it set in that it was certainly strange there was only a top two when there is usually at least a top three! So, what’s the deal, RuPaul?
Kandy and Jimbo were waiting for their challenge when all of their All Stars sisters returned to the workroom. Since Heidi N Closet chose to eliminate herself, she was not included. RuPaul tried to convince us all that there would be a jury making the final decision for the crown, but that was simply a prank. Instead, she had them all read each other. The library was open.
The reading challenge is always a good time. Everyone was on their A-game with these reads! I really enjoyed everyone, but Mrs. Kasha Davis, Jimbo, and Monica really had me laughing. Kasha ended up winning the challenge, which I loved to see!
Finally, it was time to share that everyone would be participating in the Fame Games Variety Show Extravaganza! I always love these episodes, so I was excited. Then, I got less excited when it seemed like everyone was doing an original song. I’m kidding, kind of. Not only would they be performing in the variety show, but the winners of the challenge would lipsync for their legacy and then the winner of the lipsync would spin a wheel to increase their votes. Are you following? I barely am.
While prepping for the runway, Alexis got to apologize to LaLa, who had no hard feelings, though she was a bit upset, having felt backstabbed. They also made a love connection on national tv, so I think it’s safe to say they have moved on.
Ru was joined on the main stage by Michelle Visage, Ross Mathews, and one of my faves, Ego Nwodim. For the variety show, Kasha had the most surprising performance by throwing some metal into her performance. I appreciated how Darienne did standup comedy. As far as original songs, I think LaLa and Jessica were the most entertaining performance, but everyone did great!
The top two All Stars of the week were LaLa and Jaymes! The pair faced off to Rain on Me by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. RuPaul said screw it, both LaLa and Jaymes were winners and got to spin the wheel! Well, Bruno of the Pit Crew got to. Jaymes would be getting double the amount of fan votes and LaLa’s votes will be multiplied by 3!
