We made it, team! Another season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars has come to a close. Just for funsies, all of the cast joined finalists Jimbo and Kandy Muse. LaLa Ri and Jaymes Mansfield celebrated their win for The Fame Games. Jaymes finally got to win a challenge and lip sync and she was so proud of herself. We are proud of you too, Jaymes. Both wins for LaLa and Jaymes were so well deserved!
It was a new day in the workroom and LaLa was being taught dirty Spanish phrases from Monica Beverly Hillz. Then, Naysha Lopez told Jaymes she thought she shouldn’t have won the talent show last week, which was interesting. But before things could heat up, RuPaul entered the workroom and it was time for the grand finale to get started.
For the finale, Kandy and Jimbo would have to perform songs written specifically for them by Leeland. They would then have to learn choreo and join Ru and Michelle Visage for the infamous TicTac chit-chat!
During Jimbo’s time with Ru and Michelle, she opened up about her parents’ struggle with alcohol addiction. However, her mother got sober and moved them into a safer space. Now, Jimbo chooses joy and light, which is so apparent to us all. For Kandy, this wasn’t her first rodeo. She caught up with Ru and Michelle on her experience from season 13 to All Stars 8.
While the finalists were talking with Ru and Michelle, the eliminated girls were playing a game that started with asking funny questions and somehow escalated into everyone winning a bunch of money. You know what, good for them. I’m happy for them.
As everyone was getting into drag for the main stage, it was sweet to see all the queens having heartfelt conversations. This group truly has a lot of love for each other! It’s always fun to see such strong bonds form.
On the main stage, it was only family Ru and Michelle were joined by Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews. Before we got to see Jimbo and Kandy perform, we had a performance from RuPaul herself, which has been a major move this season, huh? Not complaining, though.
The performances were fun, but the highlight for me was the runway. We got to see everyone walk the runway in their finale best, which was so good. Like, Monica and Jessica Wild’s face? Kahana Montrese, Jaymes, and Alexis Michelle’s looks? LaLa’s finger wave wig? Yes. Thank you. And of course, Jimbo and Kandy looked stunning!
Then came the moment we have all been waiting for. The winner of The Fame Games! Wait, I guess we’ve also been waiting for the winner of the whole competition, but this one was a lot of fun. Miss LaLa won the fan vote, which was exciting!
RuPaul made Kandy and Jimbo lip sync one more time before she crowned the winner of All Stars 8, though! For the crown, the pair faced off to Do Ya Wanna Funk by Patrick Cowley, which was the perfect campy song for Jimbo. It was no surprise that she was the winner of the season! Congrats to Jimbo on a much-deserved win! So much love from all of us at Werrrk.com!
Another one in the books, y’all! Thanks for following along on this journey with us!
