Last week saying farewell to the first queen to leave AMYL leaving their farewell message “Glad I got to be here while we all loosened up. See you soon xoxo.” Ivory Glaze enters the week with a new sense of confidence and boosts to let the opinions of others not seep into her psyche from now on.
A fun mini-challenge arrives in the form of a luxurious boudoir, bed, and pit crew to challenge the queens for their best bedroom selfie. Flor steals the show in her Dora The Explorer get up. But it’s Gabriella Labucci who is declared the winner of the week which can lead to a good or bad setup storyline, with the win declared Ru announces this week’s maxi challenge.
In the scheme of the iconic 90’s film Muriel’s Wedding, the queens must be wedding ready. Creating outfits for a wedding out of – everything in that tiny room, there is barely anything in there. So as imagined it’s a chaotic free-for-all, and probably the least material to work with for nine queens. Some fight hard for the main fabric – the duvet, and others are left with scraps.
A sewing challenge always provides a mixed bag of iconic moments for a drag race season and this one is no different. We have queens who can sew, some who have dabbled, and the rest who have never stitched in their life. This makes for a fun episode, Isis Avis Loren is actually in the wedding business creating wedding dresses for a living. Would you reveal such information that could potentially be set up in one of two outcomes? It’s a mixed bag of struggles and woes in the workroom with a rivals arc between Ivory and Ashley Madison, both using red fabric to be the main bride. Ivory’s concept is sticking to her Chinese heritage as she describes her garment to Ru who has the well-known drag race alumni Raven in her attendance. They all talk concepts to both and are given advice on the do’s and don’ts.
What sets apart this group of queens from this challenge than seasons prior is their level of confidence. Even those who can’t sew, share some insecurities but on a broader scale feel they can do anything. This level of borderline delusion should be a lesson to everyone, who goes through life like this.
This week we are joined by a special guest Australia’s Miss Universe Maria Thattil who is in good spirits on the judging panel. It’s time to get married and out first on the runway is
Ivory’s gown was well constructed and fit her body, not sure if the silhouette was supposed to be that bulky yet it worked. The two-stitch hemgate is modeled by Hollywould Star. It’s simplistic but works for her, however, the insistence that Isis made from the others will be engrained to the viewer. Rita Menu went out down the flower girl roue looking innocent, yet something was missing to indicate that was her role. Bumpa Love was the mother of the bride and her outfit was unique the print, the silhouette, and accessories made her stand out for the correct reasons.
A mixed bag of the runway with various concepts from the flower girl bride to the dinner server at the wedding played by Gabriella. Everyone acknowledges Isis helped each queen in some way, allowing Ru to announce the runway as the Isis bridal collection. It’s nice to help, and good to be kind.

Untucked is a fiery exchange of words predominantly coming from Ivory, feeling confident in their outfit is one thing but tearing down others it feels better isn’t nice. Laying into Hollywould who is at the top, proceeding to label it an apron, and making them model it for everyone in their werkroom is a bit low. Bringing down others to make oneself feel better doesn’t get you very far, Hollywould is aware it is a defense mechanism on Ivory’s part. Of course drag race is an intense pressure cooker for all involved.
Back on the runway and the winner is rightfully declared as Isis, not only was the gown unique but of course her kindness also was worthy of a win. This week’s bottom three are Ivory, Ivana Drink, and Rita Menu. The lipsync falls down to Ivory and Rita, before the lipsync begins Ivory becomes dizzy and disorientated. Shortly after she unfortunately faints and in a turn of events Ru announces the end of the show. No lipsync will proceed due to the safety of Ivory even when she’s back onstage, she’s evidently wobbly still. The next episode will see the lipsync at the start of the episode.
