After last week’s dramatic ending, this week’s episode picks off from the postponed lipsync. Ivory Glaze and Ivanna Drink and strut back, ready to prove themselves to Ru. This time it’s Ru only – out o drag on the panel prepared to judge. An intimating scene, with no one on the panel, queens on the mainstage either. The song for this week is the disco pop bop Sophie Ellis Bextor’s “Murder on the Dancefloor.” It’s a steady routine full of a few stunts, but the best part is seeing Ru react to that thunderous laugh of his. He truly enjoyed watching them split, kick and almost break bones on the mainstage. Alas someone has to go and cut to the intro, yes this elimination is being dragged out for all its glory.
Entering the werkroom the queens speculate who they think has been sent packing. The majority agree it’s Ivory’s turn, leading Hollywould Star to write goodbye letters for the eliminated queen. Ru walks in to deliver this week’s challenge and allows the surviving queen to walk in. Ivanna Drink is back to prove herself and shine for what she deems the perfect challenge and her improv skills. The challenge is for teams to create their own spoof of the reality TV show The Fake Housewives of Down Under. Scripts are provided however, improv will be required, after winning last week’s challenge Isis Avis Loren is deemed captain alongside lipsync survivor Ivanna Drink.
Split into two teams Isis without a doubt has the stronger group: Gabriella Labuchi, Hollywould Star, and Rita Menu. The last two assigned are Ashley Maidson who is in team Isis and Flor to team Ivanna, both do a read-through to allocate roles.
The challenge is hosted in a reunion format, with the improv section of the sketch performed during the reunion. The first group as a whole is chaotic, as far as acting challenges go this is a success. However, the second group whilst chaotic, land flat if it wasn’t for the standout Flor. The level of chaos, confusion, and madness that Flor reached in this role is sky-high. Adapting what can be deprived as a rough new jersey accent steals the show.
This week on the runway joining the judging panel is the one and only iconic artist Adam Lambert. The runway theme this week is Bad Girls Gone bad out first is Rita Menu and its a camp performance showcasing her black PVC number. Many go for re-imagined versions of film and TV characters. At times it’s hard to pinpoint who the character is supposed to be. Ashley Madison delivers a standout silhouette gown. Ivanna Drink takes the approach of Catwoman, making it seem more of a chic Halloween outfit.
The standout is Isis showcasing Lady Gaga in American Horror glamour and Hollywould Star both could not be more different but the brief is met. On the flip side, we have Gabriella in her rollerblading derby get-up as Harley Quinn, It’s a fun performance and makes rollerblading look like a piece of cake.
Reigning supreme on top this week is Gabriella a well-deserved win, and at the bottom is Ivanna Drink and Rita Menu. Lipsyncing to “Holding Out for a Hero” by Adam Lambert, performing in front of him with no pressure. Ivanna made use of every inch of the dancefloor captivating everyone’s attention from the start. However, Ru wasn’t thirsty for more and sends Ivanna home. The positive note at the end was her phone call with partner Anita Wiglit applauding her for being true to herself.
