From France (Drag Race France) to Great Britain (Drag Race UK), RuPaul’s Drag Race is now an established European sensation. The latest country to be given its own franchise is the historic country of Germany, known for its vibrant art & nightlife scene & stunning landscapes. They are also now about to welcome a new crop of queens to the Drag Race family, as Drag Race Germany premieres September 5th for its inaugural season
The judges panel for Drag Race Germany has already been revealed and as they say in Germany, it’s wunderschön (gorgeous)! German activist Barbie Breakout serves as hostess, and writer and entrepreneur Gianni Jovanovic is on board as co-host, as is New York City nightlife legend Dianne Brill who is on board to judge the dolls all season long.
Drag Race Germany announced the queens of Season 1 today, and they consist of a professional makeup artist, a master’s student, an AFAB queen, and a legendary lip sync artist! The eleven queens competing this season are: Barbie Q, Kelly Heelton, LéLé Cocoon, Loreley Rivers, Metamorkid, Nikita Vegaz, Pandora Nox, Tessa Testicle, The Only Naomy, Victoria Shakespears, and Yvonne Nightstand.
