Help Coco Peru’s mom!
Coco Peru is both a drag legend and a national treasure. When her mom, Helen, ran into financial hardships, the drag community gathered to help her stay in her home! If you are able, please donate to the GoFundMe that Coco has organized for her. At 97 years old, Helen is her biggest fan. Let’s give back to them both! Donate here.
Speaking of Coco, she’s joining the cast of a legendary San Francisco holiday show!
The loss of Heklina continues to be felt, especially in the San Francisco drag scene. Every year, Heklina would take on the role of Dorothy in the holiday production of Golden Girls in San Francisco. As a Bay Area native, I have been lucky to see the show many times. Filling in for both Heklina and Bea Arthur is no easy task, but if anyone can do it, it’s Coco Peru! A long-time friend of both, Coco is going to absolutely smash it this holiday season.
Tickets are now available and the show will be running from November 30th- December 22nd.
