From crowning winners like UK icon The Vivienne and the dynamic Danny Beard to launching superstars like Tayce and Bimini Bon-Boulash, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is known for debuting legions of superstars and giving us innumerable Drag Race viral “moments”. As Drag Race UK makes its return to WOW Presents Plus on September 28th, the cast announcement showcases a stunning and eclectic group of dolls ready to battle it out for the title of the ‘UK’s Next Drag Superstar’.
RuPaul is of course, returning to Drag Race UK to oversee the proceedings, and joining Ru on the judges panel will be Michelle Visage, and Alan Carr & Graham Norton (on a rotating basis). The guest judges for this season have been announced and range from iconic supermodel (Kristen McMenamy) to music icon (Sophie Ellis-Bextor). As for this year’s crop of contestants, the cast features a playwright, a queen with a name inspired by a famed guerrilla artist, the drag sister of a Drag Race UK crown holder, and a DJ!
The cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 5 is: Alexis Saint-Pete, Banksie, Cara Melle, DeDeLicious, Ginger Johnson, Kate Butch, Michael Marouli, Miss Naomi Carter, Tomara Thomas, and Vicki Vivacious.
