RuPaul’s Drag Race UK just crowned a winner baby (Ginger Johnson) and Canada’s Drag Race just kicked off a sickening Season 4, and now the Ru-volution is officially on-RuPaul’s Drag Race is introducing the world to the Season 16 cast! This season, fourteen stunning queens new queens will compete for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar” along with a cash prize of $200,000 (served by Cash App)! This season also marks the 15th Anniversary of the Drag Race franchise, (it first kicked off on February 2nd, 2009 on Logo)!
The season 16 premiere is once again, a two part premiere, and kicking off with the iconic talent show as the first Maxi Challenge. The talent show is separately themed as MTV’s Spring Break as well as the “Queen Choice Awards.” Both episodes will feature a gag worthy twist following the performances, where the queens will be tasked to “Rate-A-Queen” – ranking their fellow competitors’ performances determining both the tops and bottoms of that week.
The Season 16 cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race includes a sibling of a Drag Race alumni, a Miami Beach internet sensation, and even a classically trained musician with a six-octave vocal range!
