After stunning and gagworthy turns by both Season 1 winner Paloma and Season 2 crown holder Keiona, Drag Race France is returning to our screens globally (and to WOW Presents Plus exclusively) later this year to crown a brand new winner (and hand them a scepter replete with the national colors and adorned with over 5000 crystals and pearls!
The smoldering French beauty Nicky Doll returns to host Drag Race France along with two resident returning judges; actress and TV host, Daphné Bürki, and French DJ and LGBTQ+ activist, Kiddy Smile. Nicky is thrilled to return to the judges panel as host and says “I’m thrilled to come back to the helm of this legendary show and to present to you an absolutely iconic group of queens. Get ready for a high level season, with one key word: TALENT.”
The brand new cast of Drag Race France (announced today) comes along with some interesting surprises and brand new challenges to take on. The cast is: Afrodite Amour, Edeha Noire, Le Filip, Leona Winter, Lula Strega, Magnetica, Misty Phoenix, Norma Bell, Perseo and Ruby On The Nail.
And about those twists? First off, the judges panel gets a bit of a new spin, with the newly installed Nickyphone – a glittery pink phone belonging to Nicky Doll herself that is poised to ring several times throughout the season and providing the queens with queens with “surprise challenges”. Both the mini and maxi challenges remain challenging this season, and the season will premiere with the episode, Olympic Queens, a nod to the upcoming Paris Olympics. Another new component is “The Winner’s Frame” where the picture of the winner of each week is framed prominently in the Werk Room “allowing the winner to revel against their competitors”!
