The queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars were back and there was some drama! Let’s get right into it. Roxxxy Andrews and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo returned to the workroom with not one, but two badges after winning their challenge and being gifted badges by Gottmik and Nina West. Angeria Paris VanMichaels got cut by Roxxxy and Vanjie, and she felt it was unfair. She cut Roxxxy the first episode, but that was weeks ago at this point. She felt they were using that as an excuse to not cut their friends.
There was more drama as the speculation that alliances existed continued. Shannel and Nina were accused of having an alliance, but as Shannel stated, she didn’t care at this point. All she wanted was to win money for her charity. Respect! After all the drama, the cameras cut to Jorgeous sneaking a snack behind her mannequin. This show can be so unserious and I love it.
It was a new day in the workroom and the Teletubbies were there. Listen, when I saw them at DragCon it was a huge moment in my life, so I was happy to see them make a return. For the mini challenge, the queens would be doing a dance-off with the Teletubbies. Again, SO unserious but so much fun. Gottmik describing them as ride or die allies, Vanjie making poor LaLa wheelbarrow her? Truly mad, I loved it so much.
Somehow, there was a winner for the challenge, and it was Mik. For this week’s challenge, the queens would be working in pairs and making real estate commercials. Since Angie had been blocked more than anyone else, she got to pick the pairs! She chose Vanjie and paired Jorgeous with Mik, Shannel and Nina, and Roxxxy and Plastique Tiara. She made sure everyone had a partner they could work well with!
The queens then had to pick their realestate locations. Mik and Jorgeous had Alaska, Roxxxy and Plastique were trying to sell a place in Texas, Nina and Shannel were campaigning for a spot in Salem, MA, and Angie and Vanjie had the Everglades. While they were brainstorming and writing, Jorgeous instantly mentioned that she thought the pen was good, which is something I appreciated.
It was time for them to film their real estate commercials with Carson Kressley and Tracy Tutor of Millon Dollar Listing Los Angeles. Shannel and Nina killed it (pun intended) with their real estate knowledge, Angie and Vanjie were real estate agents, cousins, and sister-in-laws, which was hilarious. Plastique and Roxxxy were funny even though neither are comedy queens, especially with Plastique’s interesting southern accent. Jorgeous and Mik struggled a bit, unsure who was doing what lines.
The queens were getting into drag for the runway when Jorgeous entered the work room and said, “I love drag, it’s my favorite” with her arms in her sweatshirt. This was the Jorgeous episode for me. I was just living for her antics.
On the runway, RuPaul was joined by Carson, Michelle Visage, and Alec Mapa. The category was day to night Ruveal. Everyone’s ideas were so creative, but Mik’s was incredible, of course, as was Plastiques! Have we ever been disappointed by them on the runway? No!
Everyone’s real estate commercials were fun! Nina and Shannel were strong, Plastique and Roxxxy were hilarious, Mik and Jorgeous were able to pull it together in the end, and Angie and Vanjie were absolutely unhinged, and I say that as a compliment.
In the end, Plastique and Roxxxy won the challenge. They faced off to Super Freaky Girl by Nicki Minaj. This performance was SO GOOD! It was clear to me, though, that Roxxxy was going to win, and she did! Much deserved. She continues to be an undefeated lipsync assassin.
Here’s where more drama came in. When it was time for her clip another contestant, she chose to snip without looking, and it ended up being Angie again! She was then having a hard time picking who she would cut. She picked Mik, who somehow handled it better than she did? I laughed out loud at her calling herself Roxxxy’s emotional support queen in that moment.
Next episode is bound to be interesting! Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
