This week’s BOP OF THE WEEK is an exclusive new Party Monster mix of the fabulous, reunited Pop Tarts (Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey, the powerhouse duo behind World Of Wonder and RuPaul’s Drag Race) disco dystopian call-to-arms “Money, Success, Fame, Glamour!” off the upcoming Red Hot + Free [Mixtape] which is coming out tomorrow on June 14, right in the heart of Pride season!
Originally found on the duo’s 1988 album, this new version reclaims the film’s legendary (and long out-of-print) electroclash-etched rendition made iconic by Macaulay Culkin, Chloë Sevigny, Seth Green and Felix Da Housecat. “Everything old is new again! The song was born in the 80’s! That era was the birth of Trumpism and “Money, Success, Fame, Glamour” was a clarion call. It is more relevant today than ever!
