The queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars returned to the workroom following a badge shakeup! The extra badges that went to Jorgeous and Shannel had the others struggling to do some math. However, every queen still thinks they have a chance, and RuPaul said it’s still anyone’s game!
It was a new day in the workroom and Jorgeous shared that she had a dream that Vanessa “Vanjie” Mateo was spraying her with a hose? And then Roxxxy Andrews told the group that she and Vanjie had a thing? To quote the great Alyssa Edwards, what is going on in here on this day?
Ru gave it away in the video message that we were having ourselves a Lipsync Lalaparuza! What a beautiful day it was. She also shared that the top two queens would each get a badge.
Queens were going into this challenge on different levels. Jorgeous, of course, was the lipsync assassin on her season, while Gottmik never fell into the bottom on hers. However, she has won both of her lipsyncs this season!
It was time for everyone to perform in front of Ru, Michelle Visage, and Ross Mathews. They would be competing to fan-favorite lip sync songs!
First up was Gottmik, and she chose Angeria Van Michaels to compete against. Angie got to pick the song and chose My Lovin’ by En Vogue. Angie won the lip-sync, and Gottmik got to return to the workroom and watch the rest of the battles unfold.
Next came Vanjie and chose to compete against someone who would pick a song she would like. She chose Plastique Tiara, who chose When I Grow Up by Pussycat Dolls, which is exactly the song she wanted. Strategy! Plastique was determined to win this one, though, because she has lost all of the lip syncs she’s been in this season. That performance was SO much fun, and I wasn’t envious of Ru’s position to choose a winner, but I did think it would be fun if we had Vanjie and Gottmik in the workroom gossiping together for the rest of the battles. However, it was Vanjie who won, and Plastique who was sent to the back.
Up next was Nina West, who picked Shannel to face off against. Shannel chose You Spin Me Right Round by Dead or Alive. Shannel was the clear winner of that one for both me and RuPaul.
Ending the first round was Jorgeous and Roxxxy, the two queens I know we were all dying to see perform against each other! Roxxxy got to pick the song and chose Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler, an important song in her drag family. As much as Jorgeous slayed it, this was definitely Roxxxy’s performance! She moved on to the next round.
Time for round two and Vanjie picked Shannel, who chose I’m Every Woman by Chaka Khan. Again, Vanjie picked her for the song choice she thought she’d make. Shannel took home the win, though, landing herself a third badge. Vanjie was hilarious, as always, upon her exit.
Then came Angie and Roxxxy. The two who spent the whole season cutting each other with the ruby snippers were competing in a lip sync smackdown. The song was Groove is in the Heart by Deee-Lite. It was so much fun, and Roxxxy was crowned the winner.
It was time for the final lip sync, Roxxxy and Shannel! These two are absolute drag legends, so we all knew it was going to be an amazing performance. The song was Break Free by Ariana Grande.
As great as Shannel was, Roxxxy was the winner, and she continues her undefeated lip sync streak. That was NINE wins, if you were keeping score!
