The RuPaul’s Drag Race cast announcements are always eagerly anticipated, but the judging panel lineups across the franchises consistently are bringing surprises as well. For Season 4 of Drag Race Down Under (premiering November 1st on WOW Presents Plus), the Aussie franchise has a brand new host (Michelle Visage takes over as host this season) and judge Rhys Nicholson will once again be returning to the judges panel. The roster of guest judges this year include everyone from singing sensation G Flip, Season 15 winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Sasha Colby, actor and New Zealand singer Ladyhawke, media personality Sophie Monk, popstar Peach PRC, and actor Matt Okine!
This season, the Season 4 Down Under queens will also be getting mentored and judged by some very familiar Down Under faces. For the first time in Drag Race herstory, previous queens from Down Under seasons will be mentoring the current Down Under cast! Past winners Isis Avis Loren (Season 3), Spankie Jackzon (Season 2) and Kita Mean (Season 1); as well as Logie-nominated Kween Kong (Season 2, RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars), Anita Wigl’t (Season 2 and Canada vs. The World) are just a few of the familiar faces that will appear on Season 4. As for the extra special guest judges, they are clearly thrilled to be joining the Drag Race Down Under panel this season.
G Flip said: “I’m a huge fan of Drag Race, being asked to be a guest judge was such an honour!It was hard to be a judge because everyone was so amazing and did such a great job. Make sure to catch this season because there are some seriously incredible queens competing!”
Sasha Colby said: “To serve as a guest judge for Drag Race Down Under is such an honour! The queens, the talent, the lewks – it is next level, and this new season is going to be a gag that we will all eat up. I can’t wait to watch with the rest of the world!”
Sophie Monk said: “It was a bloody thrill to be asked back again and this time I got to be there in person! These new queens, oh my god they’re incredible. I’m in awe of what they can do, their make-up, everything. Buckle up people, you’re going to love this new season.”
