RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni are known for doing everything from stepping behind the microphone for a podcast or stepping on stage with their own music or comedy material post Drag Race. Season 11 alumni Honey Davenport though, is sliding into a completely new direction; along with entrepenur and leather maven Saul Williamson, they are the masterminds behind Honey’s Hose! Honey’s Hose is the world’s first drag and Black queer-owned hosiery brand, “dedicated to empowering performers of all types with high-quality, inclusive dance tights”. Honey’s Hose is poised to revolutionize the hosiery industry by “offering an extensive range of tights designed specifically for drag performers or anyone looking for alternatives that have been previously unavailable to them from other companies like Capezio. With 13 colors and four sizes tailored to meet diverse needs, Honey’s Hose ensures that every performer can find their perfect shade and fit”.
The launch of Honey’s Hose is not the only place Honey Davenport is popping up nowadays. Davenport is joining the panel as one of the the judges at the 25th Annual Miss Paradise Pageant in Asbury Park NJ on February 16th, 2025 (along with RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni Olivia Lux and Sapphira Cristál, Davenport is a former Miss Paradise winner). Additionally,. Davenport dropped into the season premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17, taking part in the pie-soaking Squirrel Games challenge, alongside famed Drag Race alumni like Trinity The Tuck, Morgan McMichaels and Mayhem Miller. Davenport ironically joined another familiar face during the premiere; Season 17 standout contestant Crystal Envy is also a former Miss Paradise crown holder!
As a performer with the knowledge and expertise to help queens just starting out, Davenport is putting some of that mentorship and wisdom to good use with the launch of Honey’s Hose. As part of its long-term vision, Honey’s Hose is also going to establish the Honey’s Heaux Artist Fund to “help reduce financial barriers for emerging drag artists, enabling them to access the perfect hosiery for their performances”.
For Davenport and Williamson, their collaboration on Honey’s Hose is an act of celebration & seeing a need within the community. “We believe that everybody deserves to express themselves,” said Saul Williamson. “Our mission is to create high-quality hosiery products that cater to all performers, empowering them to feel confident and stylish on stage.“
Honey Davenport adds, “Honey’s Hose is all about celebrating every body with a stunning range of sizes and colors. Created with my best friend Saul, this revolutionary line is inspired by my stage presence and the amazing performers I’ve seen worldwide. It’s more than hosiery—it’s a movement empowering everyone to embrace their unique beauty and strut with confidence!“
