World of Wonder co-founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato announced recently at the NAB Show an all-new, short form comedy series would be coming to the WOW Presents Plus cannon this winter: The Kennedy Davenport Center Honors (you can check out the video below)! The new series will star Drag Race legend Kennedy Davenport (RuPaul’s Drag Race S7, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars S3, Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs The World S2) and will be directed and edited by Ron Hill and Jeff Maccubbin (UNHhhh, Why R Humans?). The show will focus on theme’s that Davenport herself has a passion for, honoring “everyone and everything she loves and loves to hate”. The release called the show “an unfiltered comedic reflection on daily American life an d drag culture”.
The Kennedy Davenport Center Honors was mentioned on RuPaul’s DragRace All Stars 7 during the All Stars Roast, a highlight of an already phenomenal season. As a matter of fact, the President of The Kennedy Davenport Center Honors is Wintergreen, daughter of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 finalist Peppermint and is the glamorous alter ego of Drag Race camera operator Sarge! The RuPaul’s Drag Race and Drag Race All Stars three time finalist is obviously thrilled to have the chance to express herself on this brand new show, saying “SHUT UP!!! I want to thank WOW Presents Plus for helping me bring the Kennedy Davenport Center Honors to life!” said Kennedy Davenport. “I’ve got a lot to get off my chest these days. So, get ready because I’m not holding anything back honey!”
