Fresh off of a stunning season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 (and a plunge into the Badonka Dunk Tank), Michelle Visage is alongside RuPaul once again for All Stars 10, but also just landed a brand new series with the husband of a famed Real Housewife. This summer, Mama Michelle will be hosting E!’s Plastic Surgery Rewind!
Joining Visage on Plastic Surgery Rewind will be Dr. Terry Dubrow (star of E!’s Botched and husband of Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow) along with body image expert Dr. Spirit, PhD. The show will “follow nine celebrities and social influencers through a transformative journey of self-discovery”. The release went on to say “the stars must decide whether to reverse previous plastic surgeries and return to a more natural look”.
Her hosting gig on Plastic Surgery Rewind will not be Visage’s first foray into the world of body modification. In 2021, Visage bravely detailed her decision to have her breast implants removed in the moving documentary Explant (which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival). Visage permitted director Jeremy Simmons into her home and the hospital operating room as she went through this surgery. After having health issues in 2019 (with her immune system), Visage announced publicly that she would be having this procedure. Explant (which you can see here) also included interviews with the first-ever recipient of the modern-day implant as well as a whistleblower, showing how complications and auto-immune issues have caused issues with implants for decades.
