Austin International Drag Festival Headliner Announcement: Jazell Barbie Royale

WERRRK.com has proudly partnered up with the Austin International Drag Festival this year and we have been given the privilege of announcing this year’s headliners first! We are so excited about being a part of this amazing event this year and we cannot wait to bring you all the fabulous drag artists that are going to be headlining this year!

Our next headliner is the current Miss International Queen 2019! We are very excited to announce that Jazell Barbie Royale will be headlining the Austin International Drag Festival this year! (Get your tickets here and join us in Austin this fall!)

Congratulations on being named a headliner Jazell! How did you get involved with the Austin International Drag Festival and what does this opportunity mean to you?

After winning Miss International Queen as the first Woman of African descent amongst 28 different countries representing USA, I was approached by Jaime of the Festival organizing team to be the headliner due to my platform of HIV awareness with concentration on Pep/Prep and treatment along with being a lead cast member at the world famous Parliament house as a showgirl. This opportunity is amazing as it would give me an opportunity to meet the people of Austin and share my experiences and talent in both aspect of female impersonation and advocacy.

For those people living under a rock, can you tell us a little bit about Jazell and your drag?

Jazel Barbie Royale is a native of Jacksonville Florida, and has been performing for over 15 years both in the form of female impersonation and live vocal performances. She is a world wide known name as she is a former Miss Continental, Miss Florida, Miss Black Universe, Miss Westland and Miss Duval just to name a few. Her love for the industry has made her loved by all and referred to by many as the people’s Queen.

We can’t wait to see what you’re planning on bringing to the stage in Austin! Can you give the WERRRK .com universe a little tease of what’s to come this fall in Texas?

You can look forward to a lot glitz, glamour and pure natural talent that will mesmerize and captivate everyone who participates. I am so excited and can’t wait to come and be apart of this spectacular event!!
