Austin International Drag Festival Headliner Announcement: Tora Himan has proudly partnered up with the Austin International Drag Festival this year and we have been given the privilege of announcing this year’s headliners first! We are so excited about being a part of this amazing event this year and we cannot wait to bring you all the fabulous drag artists that are going to be headlining this year!

We are very excited to announce that Tora Himan will be headlining the Austin International Drag Festival this year! (Get your tickets here and join us in Austin this fall!)

Congratulations Tora on being named a headliner! How did you get involved with the Austin International Drag Festival and what does this opportunity mean to you?

I recently, (giggles), won a reality show called Camp Wannakiki, where I got to spend some time in the woods doing Drag with the best set of performers I have ever met. And as the current Queen of Camp, I get to come to The Austin International Drag Festival for my very first time.

This opportunity of coming to AIDF is a dream come true, really. I have heard so much about the festival, on how it represents all forms of drag and queer artists, I am geeking out a little that I get to see so many people and performers that I adore and look up to. I am so deeply honored to represent the Camp Wannakiki brand and show the world my campy can-do personality

For those people living under a rock, can you tell us a little bit about Tora Himan and your drag?

A rock is not a bad place to live! I currently live and perform in Orlando, Florida, daughter to Ginger Minj from RuPaul’s Drag Race and can currently be seen on Season 2 of Camp Wannakiki. Also I am the first Drag Queen to be hired for Virgin Voyages, the new “Adult by Design,” Cruise line, opening in the spring of 2020. I am the current reigning Miss Rose Dynasty 2019, and Miss Citrus State Comedy Queen 2019. I have been doing drag now for almost eightyears, and would consider myself, a Glamp/Camp Queen!

We can’t wait to see what you’re planning on bringing to the stage in Austin! Can you give the WERRRK .com universe a little tease of what’s to come this fall in Texas?

Just like me, I promise to serve you stunning looks, and also personality, Camp, Comedy to the 9th degree. Better watch out, this Himan is booked for Austin!
