Welcome back to the 90’s! I hope you’re earning some serious frequent flyer miles with all these trips! Let’s see who is next, shall we?

It’s Savannah, Georgia’s own Lady Chablis! First coming to national prominence in the early 90’s as a character in John Berendt’s book “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”, the Lady Chablis later played herself in the movie version of the book, directed by Clint Eastwood. That kind of exposure would have been tough for the producers of Drag Race to pass up so it’s logical that the Lady Chablis would be a part of the cast.

Next up…..

Now for those of you that know your history, you know that it didn’t all start with RuPaul’s Drag Race. For those of you who don’t, well, let me put it this way. Candis Cayne was Carmen Carrera before Carmen Carrera was cool! In the early 90’s, Candis was a fixture at New York City’s Boy Bar and Tour, as well as being a featured performer, putting on elaborate numbers, at Wigstock. In addition to being a stunning beauty, Candis was also a singer and dancer of high renown and seeing that she had not yet begun her transition yet at this point, would have been an obvious selection for the show.

Stay tuned for the announcement of more cast members, coming next week!
